Default Need advice: Kenwood KVT-815DVD Head Unit Wiring for power

Well I started my long awaited Bose-purge this weekend. I'm doing the install myself, and I've made great progress - but I have one question on the wiring for my Kenwood KVT-815DVD head unit I'm hoping someone can help with?

This unit has a separate "hide-away" unit that I'm mounting in the glove box (it provides the interface to the amp). BOTH the head unit and the hide-away unit require wiring to the battery power lead. The head unit has a 5 amp in-line fuse, and the hideaway unit has a 10 amp in line fuse. Do I wire both of these guys to the same power lead from the original car harness?

I'm worried that both will draw more power together and burn out another fuse somewhere farther in the line.

If I can't wire them together, any suggestions where else and how I tap in?

thanks

Thanks Kosta, that's encouraging to know. I'm just a little concerned that the Z wiring might be different than in a Toyota.

Does anyone else have experience with this in a Z? To further explain, I'm planning to run the yellow power wires from both the head unit and hide-away unit and splice them to the one yellow power lead in the original bose head unit connector.

Just don't want to blow out anything. thx
