Default best speakers?

I am planning on getting the AVIC-N1 and DEH-P9400 pioneer and I was wondering what would be the best speakers to get?
I don't know anything when it comes to audio stuff.

thanks!

Well it seems as if you have money to spend on your system. If that's the case, you can't go wrong with Focal's. If I had enough money for a set of Focal components and a pair of Focal coaxials I would get them in a heartbeat. And if you're looking for amps and subs, I've heard a lot of good things about JL.

Best is subjective. Best bet would be to go down to a stereo shop with a mix of your favorite songs and have them demo some speakers for you.

Cost, availability, size. All come into play when deciding the "best". I'm running Boston Acoustics Z6. They retail at $1000. Cost, expensive as hell(I didn't pay 1k though). Availability, Boston rep was all out in Cali and Hawaii, had to hunt this pair down. Size, it doesn't fit. Magnet is too big, had to custom mount it. I wouldn't mind checking out Focal, but no Focal dealer here. So BA it was.

Now, can you hear a difference in a 1k set and a 500 set? Is it worth an extra 500? For me, yes. You? Only you know.

i see what you mean...
I was planning on going into a shop, but i wanted to not go in there blind and get ripped off, I wanted to find out what the quality stuff was and then search for good prices and then go into a store.. I don't want to get ripped off, so I need to educate myself before I go buy some...
thanks for the reply!

cat, do the reverse of your post above. Go visit several (at least 3) with Cds you like. Listen to the various speaker/HU setups each shop recommends. When you hear a set up you like & meet a shop that appears competent & (reasonable) honest, then come back to the forums and ask for comments on the componets recommended.

Here's the details on my search:

For a reasonable (not best/top of the line) good system installed expect to spend $1500 +/-.
