Default Audiolink, aftermarket amps, and alternator whine

Sorry for the apparent alliteration, all these A's, but I'm curious if anyone else with a PD-4 hooked up to their stock Clarion/Bose HU running to non-stock amps is experiencing alternator whine, or if you repaired it, how? I was advised to remove my stock amp, which I did, but the whine is still there, even with the stereo off. I'm considering a few options: 1. Attempt to shield my RCA's from my amp wiring by foil wrapping - I didn't truly isolate them from the power, although they are only close for about 6" where they pass by the cable tunnel under the side sill finisher. My RCA's are Lightning Audio Strike LSIX's, 3M long. They are close to the remote turn on wire, however, from the Audiolink all the way to the amps- I used dual molded superflex 26 AWG that I stripped both and wound together as one and terminated-Possible culprit?
2. Install a noise suppressor inline on the amp wiring. Currently I have 4AWG wire attached to the extra terminal on the fuse block which is part of the positive terminal (under the red plastic cover), which runs to a Scosche EFX fused PDB, splitting to 2 8AWG power lines, one to each amp. The PDB is surface mounted to the chassis inside the battery box, and the wires go through the firewall down by the larger fuse box that is mounted to the firewall. There is no grounding terminal/option on the PDB-Another possible culprit?
3. Install an inline RCA ground loop isolator? Actually would need 3-RCA's to main amp, two sets, and RCA from sum out to sub amp. A last ditch idea-I don't like the idea of filtering my signal between LOC and output stage. I hope to isolate it in the power stage.

All my grounding to the amps is 8AWG short run to a crimped on terminal bolted to a spot on the chassis where I removed all paint-pure bare metal. I doubt the problem is there. Does the PD-4 need external grounding? I hope not-I don't want to rip the dash apart again. Anyone who has alternator whine, regardless of your type of LOC, is encouraged to respond. Thanks.
