Default How is this amp?

Guys,

How is this amp to drive 4 speakers?

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-oMD9fYP...search=car+amp

The front ones are either Infinity Perfect or Kappa. Not sure yet. What do you guys recommend?

The rears ones that I already have are Diamond Audio m361i (50rms, 100 peak).

In addition, I have the Basslink right now. I will keep the nonbose HU for now. I have my share of stereo break-ins in L.A. So it’s not about the cost of replacing the HU.

By the way, does anybody know a good site for amps/speakers? Ebay shipping is so ridiculous.

Tony

Can't go wrong with PH. Worth every penny. They also sell different face plates for that line of amps. Also, there's neon lights you can slap on. Make it look purdy.

Check out www.onlinecarstero.com and www.sounddomain.com they sell stuff much cheaper. You will need a speaker wire to RCA converter if you use that amp with the stock head unit. Some amps have speaker wire in on the amp, look for one of those. As far as power goes, 50W rms will be fine.

Vivid,

For the amp below, if I use two channels for the front, will I be able to still bridge the other channels for the amp? If that is the scenerio, whats the wattage for each?

Thanks,
Tony

You can use 2 for the front 75 watts each. then the rear bridged will be 250 watts.

VividRacing,

I haven't gotten the amp yet . If I have a single coil sub, do I just use the rear channels by combining the positive channels together (same with negative) and hookup to the sub?

Since we are at this subject. What amount of amp(fuse) do I need for the fuse holder. Lets say my amp needs two fuses of 30 amp each (60) and the basslink is 20 amp. Do I need to get a fuse holder of at least 90? Can I live with it being 60 amp?

Sorry guys for the same post. Just want to make sure I get the stuff correctly.

thanks,
Tony

Thanks,
Tony

that gives you an idea about amp draw and such... add up the max watts expected and check the chart, then there ya go...
