Question Bose Headunit in Non-Bose System?

Is it possible to swap out the standard HU with the BOSE HU? I'm mainly interested in the fact that it has the in-dash 6 disc changer and tape (yes, some of us still have those antiquated things) player.

A straight swap wont work, you will need to also add the amps.

I thought that was the case as my memory said the stock HU put out no power, more or less just a signal to the amps. Thanks for the reply.

is that all you need? I just brought the bose system, and I am wondering whatelse I might need to add to it.

Try this link & follow Frankmusic's set-up. Just make sure your CD player works if it was a used system as shipping it with-out being locked damages the multi-CD player. Mine is being repaired right now. It will be a nice stealth look. Good Luck!!!
