Default in need of help about screens

i'm thinking about getting a screen for the navigation compartment since i dont have anything in there now. i'd like a screen with two inputs, one for a dvd player and one for my ps2. other than that requirement i'm just looking for something with good quality and the cheaper the better, but not at the expense of quality. fitment should be good too without much modification if any.

now i've never used just a screen so i'm not exactly sure how it wires up. how would i connect the screen to hook up to my h/u for audio?

(and before i get flamed, i tried to do a search but couldn't really find much about what screens are good and how to wire them up amongst the jumble of threads that show up)

thanks guys.

the Farenheit T-7001 is the best fit for the 2003 350z. fitting a screen in the 04's is a PITA. Its a great screen for the money. Im not sure how many inputs it has, I'll look when i get home, I have one. it works great but it is used....so I'll sell it cheap
It goes for $230 - $250 new

hooking it up
Just us the PS2 as the DVD player...
Then for sound, hook the left and right outputs of the ps2 to the inputs(aux) for your HU. If the HU doesnt have any inputs, then you will need an fm modulator.

They don't make the farenheit anymore is the problem. I think the company got bought out by........Lilliput. So the old farenheits seem to be kinda rare now.

I have 1 used Farenheit T-7001
It is in good condition, it comes with the Remote and AC/DC Plug (this plug will need to be Cut for use as in car Power adapter)

It does have 2 Burnt Pixels. all that means is you can see two small dots on the screen when it is on. (Upper right of the Screen)

I will sell it for $150 shipped

I also Might be able to get my hands on a Few brand new ones but they will cost about $350 Shipped for the one with the 2 video inputs or $250 Shipped for the Single Video Input

Hey Daewoo, let me know if that screen will fit. I think its to big to fit with out Moding the Screen or Dash. Do you have one? Pics?

Addvision Dimensions 7.7 x 5.4 x 1.2 (inches)
Farenheit T-7001 Dimensions 7 x 5 x .9 (inches) And it's a tight fit

Chazz - they r giving the measurments of the frame that goes around the unit. It pops off. U would use it if u were installing it in a headrest or something.

Don't take my word for it call millionbuy and aske them they will tell u it is the same thing. I already installed it and it fits like a f-ing glove!!!!!

it is were a mm bigger or smaller it wouldn't work. I mean it is like they made it for the Z. I will have pics of my completed install on monday!

Default LCD screens Farenheit

Hello,
Check out some of my postings on the installation of the Farenheit T-7001 LDC screen, it has 2 AV inputs and 1 volume input, also 1 Video output. I bought mine on E-bay new for $202 plus $7 for shipping I believe. It can be a challenge to find this unit for sale new.
I read many posting about poor quality on lesser brabds and models on this forum.
So far it is working great, not that hard to install either, Looks perfect once installed.
You would not want to hook up your HU for audio to the LCD screen unless it has option for video out?

Hope that Helps,
Georgyo,

Wink LCD screen Farenheit

Hi,

I just meant that the T-7001 screen cannot process incoming audio signal, only video > even though it has input for audio in , I am not sure what that is for. You want to run your Audio out from HU to speaker or amps, or signal processors.
I suppose that you could experiment. I think that there are HU's out there with video out for a touch screen , but I am pretty sure that the T-7001 would not work as a touch screen. The video display on the T-7001 is very crisp, and works well with a DVD player video output.

Hope that it helps,

georgyo
