Cel Phone Integration
I am looking for some good ideas for a cel phone integration/installation. I want to do something that will allow me to dock my phone and use it hands-free just like the old school days of "Car" phones that had mics up on the visor. I have a PDA phone that I really shouldn't be using while driving and want to do some kind of stealth install that will hook into my Z's audio system. Just seeking some ideas and pics of some creative stuff.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Don't you just hate that? I the U.K. the phone integration comes standard with the GT Pack. The microphone and aerial are installed by the rear view mirror, and the adaptor is installed in the storage area at the rear of the centre console.
Why do they have different interior spec for USA and Europe?

if you have cingular and a motorola phone, you can get their integration installed. it works well, my dad has it in his expedition. I think the phone is a T220 or something.
I would mount the phone inside the arm rest like the UK version and attach the mic to the drivers window pillar . That way you don't have to worry about some ******* breaking in and stealing your phone! Or see if you get the part numbers from the Uk listers and order them from www.japanparts.com

I'm in the U.K and I've have this setup already. I'll send some pics in shortly.
Not too sure how you're gonna do it though if you don't have the buttons on the steering wheel to activate the phone system.

why dont u get a bluetooth system?
i believe one of the members of this forum has it.
try searching with "bluetooth" and "handsfree"
i think the brand name of the product was 'parrot' or something.
this way, u can keep ur phone where ever u want within 10m and make/receive calls and brows thru ur phone book too - dont forget the caller id.

If your phone is bluetooth, that is probably your best bet since it won't be specific to one phone. If you get a new phone, just make sure it is bluetooth and it will work with the system.
