Default Sanding interior handle

Guys,

I was installing my door speaker this past weekend. In the process of removing the passenger side (interior) door handle. I accidently slip with a knife trying to remove the aluminum piece and made some scratches.

Dealer want that piece for $35. I tried sanding with a 420 grid and it got worst. Should I try a finer sanding piece?

You could try a VERY fine grit 420 is way to coarse for finishing. Maybe wet sand with 1200 and then use Al polish to brighten.
Good Luck

stu46,

Why aren't you using your handle? I mean the aluminum piece?
How much do you want for it? Just shipping?

I ordered from Perfmance Nissan and they gave me for $27 bucks (internet price). I don't think i am obligated to buy.

I took it off, ordered the JDM driver arm rest and gonna rework the controls. I didn't like how one side had a handle and the other didn't.

Just shipping is fine. What's your zip? I'll check and get back to you. Because I'll be shipping it from Hawaii, it might be cheaper to order it from Performance Nissan. I'll let you know.
