Yep, it's vinyl covered.

Here's a picture with the grill in place.

Most people over look its lack of airspace just to be able to get two tens in the car under the strut bar.

As far as sound I have the 1-10 in my z and it sounds clear and solid. Thats with just a punch stage 1 ten which is a pretty cheap sub. Having the sub fire backwards has definitly improved the sound in my car. I had a 12 facing forward--no comparison.

I listen to a little bit of everything. Alternative mostly

I have my amp mounted in the large glove box. Problem is it gets hot in this spot. I had a guy drive up from Ft.Meyers Yesterday to pick up a box. He suggested buying a bose speaker grille (if I did'nt have one already) , mount the amp in the chamber behind the drivers seat and air could come thru the bose grille ---maybe even add a fan. I think that would work out great. Saves on glove box space also.

Mike, I would be interested in buying one of your single 10" boxes, but is there any way I could have you cover (at least the front side) with that CF stuff I saw on another thread? And how much would you charge for something like that? Let me know.

Hi
I only cover these boxes in carpet at this point. I am having trouble keeping up with the demand just with the carpet. Probably after the new year I will experiment with different styles of fabric and assorted colors of carbon fiber vinyls.
Once I have some different coverings available I will post some pics and prices.

thanks mike

if anyone has a hard on to have a "fiber glass box", get mike's box and line the insides with resin, now you have a fiberglass box woohoo

Mike, have you started experimenting with any other materials yet?

MLG is a good guy. I bought his carpet box and it looks awesome in my trunk. It also fits very snug to ensure no rattles occur.

He shipped immediately. Good seller! Good price!

Not trying to take any business away from Mike or Nazar but if any of you have any skills at all in carpentry this box is simple to build. I just built a box similar to mike's for 2 10" subs and an amp rack both covered in black vinyl-Grand Total......$52.45 for all material needed, that even includes new speaker wire . And two 10" subs in that box sound great, i was worried about losing the airspace but i filled my box about 50% with polyfill and the bass is nice and clear. Two subs looks much better than one.

I have 2 JL 10W3s - Just wondering if 1 or 2 would sound better given the limited airspace?

Another testimony to the coolness of mlg9770's box...

Two Image Dynamic IDQ10s, and a MTX 6001 600w 2ohm mono amp
Sounds absolutely incredible.

i am building my system beginning next week. I pretty much have everything i need. anyways, i also have the MG custom enclosures 350Zbox and let me tell you, I was very, very impressed with it! the fit and and build quality is exceptional. onced pushed into place it will not budge. as for anybody thinking about ordering this box, you can't beat the value!! it is also packaged very well. shipping is quick too! anyway, all in all this box rocks!!! i'll post pics of my set up as soon as i get everything installed!

ps: the carpet used for the box is very thick (high quality) and matches well with the Z trunk carpet color.

I came up with a design for a 12" sub. The box sits in front of the strut bar. Here is a link with pics if anyone's interested. I will have a similiar design for a 15" coming out soon too.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESO:IT

Also, I have the under strut bar boxes in Vinyl finally. Here are some pics.

After Zfest I will have a couple different style amp racks available for the 350z. One design will replace the plastic cover and slide in the stock sub location and the other will mount in front of the strut boxes I make.

Any ?'s please post or email.

have a good one

Has anyone mounted a JL 10w6V2 (not the older 10W6) in a box they bought from me? i had an email today with this question. It really helps me to know what subs fit to add to my list.

thanks in advance

can I get this box without carpet or anything?

even better can I just get the front peice and the back peice?

Your box seems to fit prefectly, I would like to build a fiber glass box to get as much air space as possible.
