Default base_z Wiring harness question...?

OK, I need some help again

I need someone with knowledge on the "wire harnesses" for the Base z HU. I'm trying to tap into the output leads with my (H/L output converter).

Does anyone know what wires are the output leads for the Front and Back speakers?

*please specify with color combinations to keep everything clear*

many THANKS in advance...

I think this might help.

B=Black
w=White
R=Red
G=Green
L=Blue
Y=Yellow
LG=Light Green
Br=Brown
O/OR=Orange
P=Pink
V/PU=Purple
GY/GR=Gray
SB=Sky Blue
CH=Dark Brown
DG=Dark Green

With that said:

Rear Left Hand Speaker should Be:
(LG)Light Green = +
(B/Y)Black/Yellow = -

Rear Right Hand Speaker:
(G/W)Green/White = +
(G)Green = -

rjpaterson,

Thanks for the letter/color break down...it helped with some of my confusion

I think I may have figured it out...accept for the G/W ANT signal wire. There is a light green w/wht strip and there is a dark green w/wht strip and it doesn't specify??

Also, I'm still confused as to where the rear speaker output wires are coming from?

Anyway, will someone confirm my findings or tell me what might be wrong with the way I have labeled the wires? I don't want to cut and splice into the wrong wires this weekend

Please refer to my images below and help me

Thanks again,
Zquicksilver

Almost forgot...the rear speakers. I still can't figure out where the output levels/wires for the rears are coming off of the base HU harness connectors?

I figured out the first connector for you. Here it is...

Nissan Connector ID - M40
Pin 1 - Front Speaker LH (-) - (Black/White)
Pin 2 - Front Speaker LH (+) - (Blue/Red)
Pin 3 - Front Speaker RH (-) - (Red/White)
Pin 4 - Front Speaker RH (+) - (Yellow/Red)
Pin 5 - Ant Signal - (Green/White)
Pin 6 - Power (Const) - (Yellow)
Pin 7 - Illumination Control - (Red/Yellow)
Pin 8 - Lighting Switch - (Red/Blue)
Pin 9 - NOT USED
Pin 10 - ACC Power (Lt Green)

I'm still looking into the second connector I think it's Nissan Connector M41. Could you clearify the color codes for me..
Is it:
Black/Yellow
Lt Green/Red
Blue/Red or Blue/Orange
Black or Black/Pink

rjpaterson,

Thanks for your help. I figured it all out too this morning when I was in my car I can confirm those colors on the M41 small connector.

Rear speaker output levels at HU.

B/Y LH -
LG/R LH +

B/P RH -
L/OR RH +

Please disregard my illustrations with the labels on this forum...I made a mistake and I don't want to mislead anyone. My damn camera highlighted one of the wires and I didn't catch it until it was too late. Caused a lot of confusion for me...

I figured both of the wiring harnesses this morning for the BASE HU So for anyone who wants to know how to tap in at the SOURCE with an inexpensive (H/L converter) for aftermarket stuff and without possibly adding more stereo "noise" compared to tapping in at the rear speaker outputs, stay tuned...

I will post the info/illustrations later today or tomorrow.

If I'm reading the notes correct in the Manual here is the pinouts for the rear speakers.

Here is the note on the top of the rear speaker diagram page. (I know it might look like jibberish)

<WN>:With Navigation System
<ON>:Without Navigation System

*1 LG/R:<ON> *2 B/Y:<ON>
B/R:<WN> BR:<WN>

*3 L/OR:<ON> *4 B/P:<ON>
L:<WN> P:<WN>

Nissan Connector ID = M41
Pin 11 - NOT USED
Pin 12 - NOT USED
Pin 13 - Rear Speaker LH(-) - (Black/Yellow)
Pin 14 - Rear Speaker LH(+) - (Lt Green/Red)
Pin 15 - Rear Speaker RH(-) - (Black/Pink)
Pin 16 - Rear Speaker RH(+) - (Blue/Orange)
