How much? With the screen and the '03 box. I want to get the '03 box just because my '04 is being a PITA. Darn thing never opens. You have to push the button then push at the top of the door to get it open. POS
I figure I may as well get a screen for it too.

Hey hows it going, nice setup. Couple questions for ya.

1. How much did you pay for the screen?
2. How and where do you have your xbox hooked up?
3. I have an 03 Base. Do I need to order additional parts?

in person the screen looks amazing, I tested it with several computers a laptop xbox and all look amazing.

Dynamix screen was 275.00 (Dynamix 706 7Ãò LCD Monitor VGA Touch Screen) and I got it from their website, I called them and they were very friendly and hooked me up in a matter of mins... It comes with 1: VGA for PC and 2 Video inputs, say a xbox and a camera, the romete works well and the entire package was top notch hardware when it arived.

The Dash insert(tray) I got from PerformanceNissan.com for 75.00 and the lil peice that covers the screws for 8.00 2 peices to replace the 04 dash tray

OEM Cluster Lid 2003 350Z Non-Nav (68250CD010)
OEM Finisher for Cluster Lid 2003 350Z (68410CD000)

I will link to other thread ....

Why? I have a lilliput... all you have to do take of the back cover as well.

Good to see that you went with the '03 pocket assembly retrofit. Was that easy or what? *So* much better than trying to mess with the '04+ pocket assembly.

It was well worth the extra wait for the parts and the extra 100.00 for the parts, It was a matter of min after I took apart the 03 tray and had it strapped in and back in the car. TY for the info and part numbers

This screen is a Xenarc screen with Dynamix brand on it, and its case is plastic vs metal.

I don't work on cars a lot so this may be a stupid question but what did you use for the straps? I want to make sure to use the most durable materials especially for something like this.

I have a hard time explaining this one...
I wanted a strap so it was easy and non intrusive to the dash or the LCD screen
and it could tighten when you screw it in with the heavy screws, you defently need the bolt on the bottom to hold the LCD up into the Tray. I used a type of shelf liner, its soft and very durable and strong, I also made a gasket for the front of the LCD so it would not get a chance to vibrate ( i used spray tact to hold it) out of the same material.

Also there are 2 clips on the 2003 dash part that scratch the front of the LCD so be careful ..another reason for a gasket on the that peice

I also don't know much about car audio, and also have a stupid question. Does that screen need a computer to be operational, or is it control by your HU? Cause that what I want to do with my car, but I want two screens. I was thinking of getting AVIC-D1, for NAV and CD/MP3 player. And a screen like that for movies.

Are you using that piece on the right side of the picture? Interested in getting rid of it? I need a replacement "pocket" for mine. PM me if you want to let it go cheap

Awesome job on the LCD install!
