Default Finally Got My Corner Sub Box

Here are some pictures of the corner fiberglass sub box I'm am having made. I've been waiting for the mold to be done and finally here's the first one out of it. I designed it a little wider than others I've seen. I did this to have more airspace and hold a variety of different size 10" subs. This box has a lot of depth... It might even fit a 10w7. The SPL sub I sat in it for the pictures is a copy of the old 10w6 and it fits no problem. Should have these in stock soon. As soon as I have it wired up I'll let you all know how it sounds.

I like the Falkens. Kinda fell into them because I have a friend who is a wholesaler and he stocked the rears for corvettes. Paid like $120 ea for the rear tires. I could'nt pass it up.

Here are some other pictures. Ignore the glue all over the back...they wont come like that. i am going to sell them covered in vinyl but you can have them painted. I am hoping to have the box hooked up tomorrow before I leave for HIN Orlando to hear how it sounds.

i built one like that for my S10L7. Sound from there is fantastic! And it took me a month of Sundays to build it, so for the $260 this guy wants, IMO it's worth it. Only way I think it could be better would be to recess the sub to allow a grill to cover it. But that's minor. Like I said, for the money this is a SICK deal! Good luck with the sales!

Your right about the sound from this spot in the car. I hooked up a punch ten with a 150 watt kenwood amp just to see how it sounded. Wow, this is probably the best sounding box I've had in my car. I've always heard the boxes in the corner sounded great so it was nice to hear it for myself.

Mike, is it louder/cleaner than under the strut? I'm quite interested.

It was just as loud if not louder than the under strut box and cleaner. I think it sounds great but I am anxious to get some other opinions.

I have the corner box mounted right now so I will get the dimensions posted tomorrow and try to figure out the airspace. I'm thinking its around .50-.60 cu ft which is a pretty nice amount for a corner box.

I live in Sarasota which is about an hour south of Tampa. I went to HIN Saturday night. It was o.k.. Very loud and dark..hard to see the cars. There were lots of half naked models running around and tons of nice cars. I saw Zealous's 350z. Thats a sweet Z.

Here are some pics of the corner box in carpet. I think I'm going to do them in carpet because the vinyl is such a pain and the carpet is coming out great.

Will this fit in the ZR? If so, how would it sound compared to stock location?
