See attached pic:

Hmm, I didn't know there was this much room back there underneath the carpet. I was worried about what subwoofer enclosure I could fit under the strut brace because theres only 10 inches between the carpet and the bottom of the brace. It looks like with a little modification I can fit a good sized enclosure back there without digging into the luggage space too much. Thanks for the pics!

First off : F***in' sweet! Thats one of the most pro uses of space I've seen on the 350Z... Very nice, looks like an extremely clean install as well. I used to have a very similar setup in my 300zx, 3 JL 10's driven by an Xtant amp - very clean sound (decent value too, considering high end)...

2 things:

1) You should get your installer to manufacture that lit up brushed aluminum stereo fascia. That is beautiful, would probably get a good number of buyers interested.

2) Do you have any sort of cover for the subs when you actually want to use your trunk? A false-floor or do you just use metal grills or something.

Also, can you list your complete setup, I'd be curious to know what your choices were.

Default Very nice...

but I am not sure I am willing to sacrifice my spare, for a sub enclosure. I will be trying to utilize the stock 10" location for myself. I am sure your setup is more optimal, and I am sure it rocks. Until I can find some run-flats, I won't be eliminating my spare. I also need to make sure I keep ample space for my golf clubs, and it would be a long summer with great tunes but no golf ;(

Don't get me wrong, your install is very nice, and if I didn't have space requirements for golf clubs, I would go the same direction as you did. I love JL audio subs, and 3 10w6's would absolutely rock, but I will have to be happy with 1 of them...

if anyone is intrested in the custom radio piece, i will be able to do them for you, just let pm me and i will let you know how much and discuss which radio you would be using. also as for the sub box, it was fiberglass molded and bolted down to the car.here is a list of electronics that were used in the system:
alpine iva800
alpine tue-t011 tv tuner
focal utopia 6.5 seperates 2 sets
audiocontrol eqs equalizer (located in factory sub location)
jl audio 10w0 12 ohm (3)
xtant 604x amp
all monster wiring.
fiberglass sub box, and fiberglass door speaker enclosures

oh and by the way, the sound is incredible....

Definately looking to have DVD Playback, External MP3 player to tap in and possible small PC in the vehicle.

the spoiler is nismo style without the base, they can be found through one of the site's vendors, evo-r (www.evo-r.net)
great build and quality; come in carbon fiber and you can choose to not paint it (my choice) or you can choose to paint and it would be the same as frp or anything else, really great product.

I tried to PM you but your box is full. I need some help with a trim piece for my Kenwood DDX 7015 Double Din. Also, what are the possiblities of you building another box? I just ordered two JL 10w7's and want to take advantage of the spare tire area in order to minimalize the amount of space taken from the regular hatch area.
