just finished an install on a 1994 hond prelude, and its a sponsored ride so it will be my offical vehicle.
I picked this car becuase it is exactly what my theme in car audio stands for, simple, clean, and classy, nothing outrageous, no wings, spoilers everywhere, just clean
We went through a few designs for the system, and in the end, i decided that i should make an install that really really hammers home what i stand for, that is simplicity, clean, and classy looking. Of course i would need to do some video to showcase taht side of my business
the system starts with a pioneer premier p8mp deck, and below it in the double din, a VST dvd player. front speakres are a pair of OZ matrix elite 6.5" componnets, and the sub is a single image dynamics idmax10
powring it all is a DLS ultimate A5 3 channel amp that sends roughly 100 real world watts to the front speakres, and about 800 to the sub at 1ohm mono. thats it, one amp, one sub, two front speakers
simple.
lets get started:
here is the car and some decals that i put on for him:

i am really liking my new logo
anyway, he did an dark interior swap, but could not find any black lower door panels, as a result, his doors looked like this before:

Tan in a sea of black, looked totally out of place. so i took his door part and reupholstered it all in dark suede, the inside pockets was quite a PIA
but i think the results are worth it:

also cleaned up his battery wiring (note, usually i always lookthe power wire, but for this, he wanted to show the blue to match the car
)

moving on the trunk. the trunk lid was an issue, when he had the car repainted, the body shop didnt peel off the dampneing correctly and just paitned over it, so it looked terrible, like this:

I took a mold of the lid, shaped it to fit monitors, andt hen wrapped the entire thing in suede. then i used the bride material he provided to do the trim around the monitors themselves. 3 of my own 8" monitors went in:

the trunk, like i said, i went for a very simple, but overall clean and classy look. the wells are lined in light blue suede, the idmax is upside down, and the beautiful OZ audio crossovers are on either side, with wires passing through grommits. the amp is in its own well, also lined in suede. since htis was a show car, no covers is needed as he will never put anyhting in the trunk
the entire floor is lined in dark suede, same as the trunk lid and lower doors

well, lets see what it looks like in the dark:
first the monitors:

and the trunk: though its hard to tell, the amp is floating and there are neons below it to light up the well

gonna put more touches in the near future...but it will be at the HIN show tommorow.
cheers.

bride ***** it is lol but one thing to keep in mind is that the bride stuff is acutally mateiral that they sell specifically for covering stuff...so its not like he took a bucnh of stickers and put it on everyhting
slightly different...
tahts why i went with the tiny bride insert on the floor versus doing a full floor in that materials
