sorry hear that bud...to each his own what color do you suggest ?
as an install i am sure you know, as you said, we are bound by the physical constraints of the product and the vehicle when we do things...as well as by budget. i really tried to talk him out of a jl 1000/1 , becuase coupled with a 13w7, it just relaly makes it hard to fit it all back there behind the arch
oh well we will see, maybe you will see a version 2 of this install if we can go with some other amps haha

the amps, well the JL is kinda long to fit in there corectly, but htat wasnt the point, the point is to display them spare was never in the car due to the aquamist bottle
yeah, its not an install that is classicly appealing to everyone, epople either love it or not, but given the physical restraints of hte products and the space alotted, i had a hard time coming up wtih another layout

question... do the DLS UP6 components use the same clear plexiglass crossovers? or is that only the Ultimates?

you guys dont know how hard i tried to have smaller amps, but...hmm someone didnt listen hehe, yeah, with a 500/1 sized amp, the whole thing would have easily been symettrical..
the UP6 is part of the ultimate line, but does NOT sport a clear plexi cover, everyhting above the UP6, the UR, the iridium and the nobelium, does

I just can't support DLS's decision on those grills. If they weren't in kick panels I'd just leave them off all together. Those Nobeliums look good enough as is.
No it's not in yet. I'm still working on the dash. I finished it as far as I care to for now. It's not pretty but it's functional. When I've got more time to work on it I'll make it look nicer. Or I'll just use the 2006 dash kit whenever that comes out. The HU and EQ are in but it'll be a little longer before I finish the amp rack for teh wheel well. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet.
I may go ahead and finish up the soundproofing/dampening and run the wires though. But I'll be without sound for a little longer.

lemme guess, the UP6 have regular boring black crossover boxes?

But that just doesnt go well at all. I personally wouldnt of been able to do that install with the way he wanted it. I wouldnt put my signature on that to save my life and if I did I would never claim it.
