But if you want i'll buy it on your behalf and mail it too you. Or the dealer may even deal with you directly. Not sure.

This is great.
I have an 06 base that I would like to do this conversion to and I'm willing to spend the money to do it.
So I take it from reading this that the 400$ panel just covers the plastic panel and wiring harness for the nav unit.
What nav units will fit it and what else do I need besides a nav unit and the panel.
Thanks!

The part numbers are earlier in the thread. But there is a third part that no one in the US seems to be able to get. A small finisher that goes between the switch assembly and the screen.

^thanks foochdawg
wow that would actually be pretty sweet.
i'm actually a programmer myself and have always wanted to whip something up for the 350z. I actually have this idea of putting all three trip monitor into all three gauge pod. With each still programmable to what you want it to read. I also wanted them picking up on the oil sensor and battery as well, just to keep the stock function.

I am a software developer but for mainframe type stuff...nothing I know I can develop for a car haha. But I do know alot about cars from my dad being a mechanic and I do all my own work. I know alot about computers and software from my past in computers, education, and career. I like to do new things that make people ask you "How did you do that?!?" lol "If it's worth taking the time to do...it's worth taking the extra time to do it RIGHT." is what my dad always says haha.

That's niec to know. You used the part numbers in this thread to order? Mine just showed up in Cali Friday and were shipped out, so mine are on the way.
How does it look without that finisher? Take pictures about that too se we can see if it it something we can deal with while we wait for that finisher to be available lol

that whole install ran me around $2300 . $1700 for the eclipse avn6610 head unit. $414 for the trim and switch assy. $150 for the power acustik screen. if thoes part# you posted are the part# mentioned in this thread then yes thoes are the part #s i used. no i dont have the finsher piece. its barly noticeable unless you look at it from a high angle. ill try to post some cleaner pic's in a few days. as of right now my z is under a foot of snow.

Courtesy Nissan says that the part is on national backorder with no release date. I guess the only real hope would be to get one from canada but the one person who said they knew where it was hasn't written back so I don't think that will lead anywhere.
