looking to get 3 pc set into the front (Dynaudio system 360) I could flush mount the woofer or mid in the kick pnl, put the other in the door, and the tweeter in the window support or dash. I have also seen a nice install that had a 4th speaker....not sure if it's a woofer or mid.there is already a tweeter in the system so I don't know if he'd duplicate that.

that would be an imaging tweeter, usually high passed VERY high, 15khz or so...attentuated, somtimes time delayed, to raise the sound stage for competition purposes

amps are already taken care of, just need a great sub install.

 

hehe i dont buld prefab boxes of any type...

as far as stealth install goes for a 10w6, it woudl require raising the floor by a good 2-3 inches, since hte sub is too deep...there for requiring the whole floor to be rebuilt...not sure where your amps are now...but if they are part of the floor design, they would have to be rebuilt...

so yeah, it would require you to come up to mefor an install like that hehe...

the only i build for Zs and Gs are kick panels and perhaps a few special order door pods for different sizes and or angling from waht nazar offers...

that's a great install, well done!

 

counter point is simple:

different speakers are different when aimed off axis. by off axis i mean pointed away from the lisenter. some speakres are more "directional", and whyn you aim it off axis, you see a pretty dramatic difference when on axis. other speakres, work acutally better OFF axis, sound smoother infact, one prime example of the latter is mb quart Q series IMO, i have heard and installed various set ups, and often found off axis provided just better and more harmonius response than on axis.

DLS speaker, espeicall the DOME midrange andtweet, work almost equally off AND on axis, as a result, for G and Z installs, i can save the customer valueable foot area space and still get a nicely highly and centered image and staging. of course, the car's particular interior also lends itself to either off or on axis.

this is not to say if i did them on axis, SOME listeners wont apprecaite it more, but for 99percent of the csutomers, the combiation of off axis's kicks room saving, and DLS's off axis response, makes this a good combination

infact, if you look at a lot of the iasca championship winning cars, take the DLS bimmer for example, both themidrange and the tweet are aimed off axis, the midbass is just like the G, compeltely off axis, and the midrange is aimed high , towards the roof of the car

at the end of the day, no amount of science, or tutorials can make up for listening in the car, and i arrived at these types of installs for Zs and Gs after the first few cars i did, when i did some extended listening prior to securing the sepakeres
