DVFlyer, which behind-seat compartment did you place you amp into? Passenger or Drivers side?

I got an opportunity to hear it in person and the DLS are very neutral and pleasant. I am glad to see you found a box that worked with the sub. Does the RA50 provide enough juice to the sub or would you consider adding a secondary mono amp? I am loving my RA50, but am considering getting the A6 mono amp or the Alpine PDX to save on size and weight.

I think the RA50 is PLENTY. I have the gain on the amp set at about half and almost never have the remote bass above half either.

I feel I'm missing some low end "uuumphh", so I am toying with the idea of trying out a 15" IDQ. It would be a simple enough test. The sub isn't outrageously priced and takes a fairly small box. I could build the box, remove the spare and see how it sounds. I could easily put everything back in if it doesn't work out.

And because Dom needed a car to get the mold from he called upon me and he reinforced my box and tuned the inputs a tad and words can't describe how loud my stuff is.

So I too appreciate DVFlyer going to Dom to get his work done

I am going with either a IDQ12 with the RA50 or the Polk Audio SR12DVC with the A6, but the latter would necesitate the removal of the spare tire due to the mounting depth required. Let me know how the fifteen turns out if you do it, I'll be doing my install in the next couple weeks and will give you a listen to see if a twelve would suffice for your tastes.

That'd be great. I'll most likely be trying the 15" in that time frame too. Maybe we can meet up and compare differences. Would make an interesting listening session.

PS- Just remembered I owe someone a trader rating... sorry......

Head unit will be an Alpine IVA-W200 run through an Alpine PXA-H701. Amp will go in cubby behind driver's seat. DLS component mids and tweeters will go in kick panels, woofers in door panels.

Install is set for this Thursday. In order to save a long day of photo uploading, I thought I'd start with a few now. Some components arrived today from Bing (Simplicity) along with some of his kick panel handy work. Dom, a friend of Bing's, will be completing the install because his is more local to me.

Pictured components: DLS Iridium 6.3 mid and tweeter in kick panel, DLS RA50, and DLS Iridium 10" sub.
nice work! where did you go? i want to install eclipse headunit, ipod adapter, and bluetooth. need some tunes first, driving me insane. i'm real picky and i know it's simple to install the headunit. i just don't want to take a chance on the ipod adapter and bluetooth.

thanks
