I put a "very very slight" curve in it just using my hands You shouldnt need to though. Did you see my write up for installation? If there is a gap go to the backside of the part, and use electrical tape all around the perimeter. Sounds corny, but when you flip it back to the front it looks fantastic. No one would ever know there was a gap or lack of a bend. Black covers up a lot I have made them wider in the past and found that they are not consistently fitting (too big) so I stopped doing that. Now all the parts are exactly the same size as the one in my car now.

I can take close ups of mine if you want.... you will see that the gap is not noticeable or even existant.

The sweeper light was nothing more then a "suggestion". It was there, so I grabbed it. Your welcome to try any source of illumination you can think of.

Best place to find it is advanced auto over in the Rice Section.

Just got my plate and wanted to say how good it looks. Nice thick material, smooth, even, straight cuts. Very good job in fabricating! I haven't had time to install it yet, but will do so soon. Thanks again!!!

Saweeeet! You can push the two bottom corners in by hand if you want to bend it to the contour a little more. It may take "some" effort since it is stainless after all

Looks good man.

I'll have the installer align it flush when he takes the dash apart to install the touchscreen. It really really looks so cool. I just realized the date imprint on my camera is messed up. I took the pics last eve at a cruisein in jacksonville. I had about a 100 people stop to look inside. With Coldplay playing, it was fun to watch peoples jaw drop. The sound, the looks, it is amaZing!! I could see the agony, the longing, in the eyes of a dad who hung around the car for about an hour. He kept asking his kid, "Billy, isin't this beautiful?" I guess he was trying to drum up some support so he could talk to the wife.

This HU has the flipdown faceplate. So there are 2 levels of 'flipout' while it's playing (or you can keep it folded up, ur choice), but when you hit eject, it flips out to a third level to give access to the cd drive. I could have had it mounted flush, but that would require a major custom job. Other than your stock HU, no aftermarket HU will sit absolutely flush, without custom fitting.

I like it flipped out, when I'm listening to it. That way the OEL display is visible. And the finish of the HU matches the DIN plate, and the other aluminum trim perfectly. It looks very very clean.

I guess it must just be your deck, because from the looks of the pics you posted the whole deck is sticking out of the dash. The trim ring on that deck is huge. Did you use the metra kit? If you use the ISO mounts with the Metra kit, you can have the deck sit flush with no mods (raceboy). But, like I said earlier, your deck might not work this way and might have to be surface mounted no matter what. It just looks odd how far it sticks out. Cool deck though!

The DIN plate works with the stock bracket. You do not need the Metra kit. I will ask the installer about the flush mount when I go in next to get the autopc and screen installed.
