Default My lil setup

My set up includes:

Eclipse AVN5435 Navi
Zenclosure 10" sub box w/ amp rack
JL 10w7 sub
JL 500/1 amp powering the sub
JL 300/2 amp powering the front speakers
Focal K2 165KF components + tweeters

I decided to eliminate the rears and opted for front speakers only and I don't regret it at all. The Focal components are placed in stock speaker locations and surprisingly, minimal rattle/vibrating door noise even at high volume. The stock tweeter locations have been custom-cut out to fit the "larger" focal tweeters and the installer did an awesome job in cutting it down to make it look stock. The navi fits very nice into the double-din cubby. And I have no complaints whatsoever. Maybe the audio options the navi has, it's only got bass volume and no adjustments for treble. The bass from the 10w7 is deafening. I had 2 x 12s from Audiobahn and they don't even come close to what the 10w7 can put out. The 10w7 does hit very low, but is definitely not the loudest sub out there. For me, it performs very well for a 10" sub. I rather have a clean, low hitting bass than a loud, I can hear you 10 blocks away hitting bass. I am fairly happy with my set up and for those not into the audio scene, this system will suit many of the novice people who's into upgrading their sound system from stock.

Here are some pics of my current setup.

And yes, while I do have a Base Z, I don't regret buy it. Simply because I saved $ in getting the audio/video I wanted instead of opting for the stock navi/options. Not worth it IMHO. Now for the LSD, now that was one thing I wanted for my car, but oh well, I can always get an aftermarket LSD and still have change.

Looks good. I considered the amp rack piece but, I was afraid that it would to be too tempting to thieves.

I have all JL and in my opinion its probably the best equipment on the market.

$100 for the pair? Sounds like you got screwed.

^I agree.

Maybe so many people on this board have that setup because it is the best for the money. I've heard plenty of sound systems and JLs products never seem to disappoint me. I had the money for almost a year before i purchased my sound system and thats because i was researching and listening to everything first.

i cant be more happy with my setup - JL W7 with 500/1, JL XR components with a 300/4.

OK, I usually don't get into these types of debates because nobody wins, but how can anyone make such a statement????

gosh , probably would not be bragging about that , it shows your lack of knowledge in referance to what's out there

well i got these 2 JL for $50 with a box ,and sold them for $100 so i made 100% profit

on the other hand you payed retail for your JL equipment so really you got screwed

and a sh!tty opinion at that.. i literally sat here for 5 mins with my mouth wide open.. amazed that you could really type that..

its one thing to be sheltered.. but there is no excuse for ignorance..

your post is the equivalent to someone on the saturn boards saying the Saturn Sky is the best Sports car ever made.

same goes for DLS and Element Designs... not to say they arn't good products.. but alot of people on this board got it because everyone says so.. i am still spitting up water over the JL comment though.. last time i had a JL subwoofer in my car was 1998 .. and thats because i didn't know any better.. and even then i was running Diamond Audio Components and Coax in a Maxima..

my current Subwoofers are (2) RE subs.. and prior to that was (2) ID Max 12's... the JL comment is killing me
