Here, I'll save you the effort........

IDMAX12D2V.3
Recommended enclosure: 1.30 -1.52 cu.ft. sealed
Recommended 1000 watts RMS

JL 12W7
Recommended enclosure: 1.375 cu.ft. sealed
Recommended 750 watts RMS

Looks to me that they would be interchangeable in a given box. You know, since even the most demanding sub has a tolerance of AT LEAST 20% sealed. But I'm sure you knew that.

I just entered the 1.52 cu feet for each subwoofer in my TERMPRO. The frequency response curves for each woofer are totally different. But Im sure you knew that would happen? By the way, which IMAX does doug have? The D2 or the D4....that could make a difference too.

So now you are saying you need to put the subs in boxes where the frequency response curves are the same to be a fair comparison

Do you even know how to do that? If so, explain.

The voice coil config on the IDMAX should have no impact on the enclosure requirements. What 'might' make a difference would be which version (v2 or v3). The specs above are from v3. Not sure if any difference with the v2.

Of course there will be different response curves, they are two different subs with different specs. Response curves in software are ok for a baseline comparison, but there is no replacement for real world listening in a car. The car's acoustical characteristics can make all the difference in the world.

Well my point is....your not gonna get the optimum sound for each subwoofer in the same box.

Also regarding ..is the IMAX a D2 or D4......Doug said he was using the same amp on both the IMAX and then on the JL 12 W7. The amp being used makes a huge difference as well because the JL 12 W7 is a 3 Ohm sub. Yet again ...installation technique.

Dude your not letting it go bet saying the bs in the bold.

Ive proved myself with information to support it. May want to go back and read some of the posts. Your information was based on opinionated comments like "it blew me away" or people in the drive thru said it was loud.

And now your getting so mad that my data is actually making sense and making you look like a jack *** that your wanting to hit someone...Maybe you should go back to your trailor and go beat your wife some more. Take some of that agression out somewhere else.
