I've read nothing but great things about the IDQ subs, I'm sure 2 of them will give you some nice bumps

Also, I'd like to add bluetooth to my install but the Alpine bluetooth unit just sucks from the reviews I've read lol

Looks like it's gonna be a kickass system!

I have two IDMAX12's and Bing thinks I'm crazy. It's definitely overkill (like that's a bad thing), so I would bet the two IDQ10's will be perfect for you.

will do. As far as the amp mounting positions.

3 options

1) in the stock sub location
2) in the glove box location
3) upside down underneath the amp rack from z enclosures (my amps are small enough to fit their.)

I really use that space behind my seats up to the cross bar. and need to keep as much as possible. so i really would not like to put them on top of the amp rack plus it will conceal them not as flashy

1) Great place, easy enough to make an amp rack, plenty of airspace to keep things cool.

2) Ditto as for option 1, no need to really make an amp rack since you can mount them to the 'floor' of the glove box.

3) I would never recommend anybody mount their amps upside down. Amps are designed the way they are for a reason.....heat dissipation. You can cause damage to the amp by mounting upside down unless you make provisions for fans to continuously move air across the heat sinks.

ok im about to order 2 120 mm fans and wanted to know what they should be doing and where to locate them in the factory sub location. im planning on having one pull in the sub box and have one push it to the glove box area.

Good, Bad, recommendations

PDX amps run relatively cool; Are you sure you need active cooling?

Also, are you trying to move cool air to cool the glove box or are you trying to exhaust hot air from the stock sub location?

For my install I am removing that plastic tray in the glove box and in the amp rack that I built there will be a hole in it to feed all the cables up through. This hole will also allow cooler air in from the rest of the car's interior. Granted, the hole is only 3" X 3" or so but I believe it will be adequate for the 2 PDX amps in there. Perhaps someone who actually runs amps in his/her glove box can chime in with some input.

I am running my amps in the stock sub location not the glove box. I probably dont need them, but since i am car iliterate, i would just assume pay the 40 bucks for 2 nice fans and get it installed.

Im playing the better safe then sorry card. Im asking what i should do

1) PULL PULL (cold air in)
2) Push Push (hot air out)
3) one PULL cold air in and one PUSH hot air out (im leading toward this one after talking to bing)

Push-pull config (series) is better for high impedance (air resistance) environments, while push-push or pull-pull (parallel) is optimal for low impedance environments

I would assume that the rear glove box & stock sub location area have pretty low air resistance, as it is one big open area. Perhaps options 1 or 2 would be optimal in this case?

If it were me I'd do a pull-pull configuration, blowing cool air directly on your main heat source (amps). If you want to do the pull-push config it should work fine too...and you could maximize the cooling capability of the setup by positioning the "pull" fan as low as possible (to grab coolest air) and the "push" fan as high as possible (to exhaust warmest air).

I have to agree, the Alpine Bluetooth unit sucks. The part that sucks about it is the list of phones it works with. If you have a Razr then its a great BT, but if you have a Blackberry pearl like me, it sucks, can only use it as HF and not full functions. Ended up getting an Parrot BT color HF
