you can shift fine wtih the kicks, i hav size 13 feet and have no clerance issues when i drove the car
well, most of hte time i put the fans on a relay so they run when the system is on, but hte DLS amps have built in fan turn on circuits so you wire to them, when it senses that its getting hot, it turns the fan on accordingly

Re: kick panels/ dead pedal.
When I had my mids in my kicks, I stopped using my dead pedal. Now that my mids are up on my dash, I find it hard to use the dead pedal.
Your body adjusts....

Wow, that is one of the best installs I've ever seen.. I love the pic with the amp rack exposed showing all the wiring.
It makes my install look so very ghetto

Well, reasonable means different to different people, i for one, know that most shops, espeically one in expensive NJ, cannot stay in business charging what i charge, i know this cuase i use to run a shop, with overhead, paying rent, employees, and all that goodness, you just have to charge more, do it quicker or you are going to go out of business. THis is why now i just work outta my garage, no overhead and no payroll, so i can fford to charge less and devote more attention to the car since its the only one working on the vehicle it also helps to keep me motivated and standards up, cuase if something gets screwed up, its not like i can blame a lowly installer and say its all his fault, but have to take the blame myself, so thats why i try my hardest to make sure the customer is happy and more importantly, low failure rate hehe...happy to report that so far, in two nad ahalf years in cali, over 100 plus installs, non equipment related failures i can count with one hand, well, acutally still a few fingers left over and the worst is basically an amp overhetaed cuase i didnt wire hte fan right
Ron does great work, much better facbricator than myself, though ima usre he would charge more, but i know that he is very reasonable and do good work to back i tup sa well
if you want, send me a PM, i can find his info and pass it on
