UPDATE 4/22/08
Just a little update today...
Here is yesterday's glass cured..
Trimmed..
Then glassed over the seam to ensure a strong seal..
Thats it for today... hopefully my subs will ship soon. I can't fleece over the top until I can check clearance with the subs....

you can not enjoy the true scope of hard work unless you read through the entire thread.....plus you will see why the rest of us check this thread so damn much!!

So... My subs didn't ship on friday. I came to the realization, that since I only have my garage rented through next weekend, and the subs are not yet on the way.. I better get going because otherwise I won't be able to finish..
What am I doing?
Taped it up..
Inflated..
Ran some sandpaper over the inside..
Cleaned up..
Ahh..see where I am going with this?
Something like that..
I stretched the cloth over.. but the tube was leaky and deflated..
And I miscalculated..
So lets try some foam..
Another shot..
I wrapped it in plastic so that the resin wouldn't stick to it, and I could remove it later..
Here is one half of it stretched over.. came out good.
So I still have to check clearances..
I made this from measurements on the eD website..
Clears...
So I started stretching the cloth more.. and I was kind of half paying attention to what I was doing, really pulling hard and pushing down with my foot.. and.. CRUNCH. What was that?
Crap...
So the back is still hanging on by a thread... I think I can fix it..
I poured resin into the break and set it back down.. then glassed the crap out of it..
This morning..
Cleaned up..
Still fits..
Another shot..
And another..
You may have noticed when the back lifted it pryed the terminal cup mount up too.. I am paranoid there might be a leak there now..
Filled in with resin..
Cured..
Another shot..
Lets try this again..
Back stapled..
Half done..
Ahh.. got it..
This shot shows the shape the foam gives me..
Another look..
Wet down with resin..
Another look..
I got bored.. so I sanded down the face here..
Mixed some thinned bondo..
Brushed on..
Closer look..
Fleece trimmed on the front..
Fleece trimmed in the back...
And finally.. glassed over..
