Nice job, that’s what im debating to do at the moment…
You wouldn’t happen to mind telling me the dimensions on those boxes, or anyone know the size of the compartment?? I recently tore mine apart and built a box but used the bottom and top of pre-existing sub area w/ MDF around the sides and foam w/ silicone to seal it up... I cut a new metal face plate to bolt on top of the existing sub mount and sealed that also... But now I’m getting a vibration of some sort whenever the base gets really loud. Not sure what it is, I think it’s because I didn’t build a full box.. I don’t really want to tear out my sub etc until I have a new box to put in and being dumb I didn’t write down the measurements.

The guy who built the box for me used the measurements from the plastic insert from the (what i call glove box) behind the pasenger seat, he made it exactly that size so that it would fit like a glove, one thing with the install, there were some metal brackets on the top of the compartments that needed to be bent in order to fit the boxes. i used metal brackets to hold the box in place (i attached a pic)
there is less then 1/2 a cubic foot inside each box, Rockford suggests .375 as the mininum and maxim of 1.75 for a sealed box

are you planing to put 1 of those subs???
i have (2) HE2 400W RMS 800W max and it pounds, it pounds so hard that my lights dim and my ears hurt. I think with a little creativity you can fit that sub in the glovebox, my boxes were less then .5 of a cubic foot each all you need is another .13 to keep it into spec.
good luck, i hope you bought ear plugs

Dude, you are one brave individual. You stripped the inside of thing and I'll bet you were hoping it would fit back together. Well I'm pretty amazed! Awesome job!!
Where are you getting your GT-7's from? I'd like a set but worried about the bucks.
