I like the design but the kick plate is a terrible place to mount a tweeter.

actually, no it's not - it simply depends on what tweeter, the design of the panel and the rest of the setup of the system

OP you should list what exact stuff you're using, and you need way better pics - those look like they were taken by someone out on a rough ocean trip!

Looks sweet on the surface man, you should post some DIY's broken down to each item... all of it looks really cool.

i also have another set of tweeter mounted in the a piller to bring the sound stage up because it seemed to be sitting on the floor, they helped a lot.

as for the exact stuff i could honestly tell you, i did some of the wiring and stuf most of the grunt work bu Micah and Owen over at Sonus did Most of the art work i just came up with the ideas, somewhat.

I sure hope your using a processor with that stock headunit otherwise I can't imagine that setup sounding all that good.

I've heard the carbon vinyl is hard to work with from some of the other install threads on here. What was your experience with it? May've just been the brand too...

it was pretty easy to work with honestly, it just has more to due with the glue you use. and making sure to actually spray both side down and because it sticks to itself, but it doesnt really stretch that much. so if you are hoping to stretch it out and have it fit its not gonna happen really.

and yes i replaced the stock head unit with a kenwood dnx 9960

but the main goal of the install was making everything look like it is supposed to be there from the factory, and not gaudy.

also we miced it and tuned it a little while ago.

I'm in a nitpicking mood... Kenwood is Japanese not Italian.
