I have a 2008 350z with the base stock head unit. My FM signal is terrible. I have a stubby antenna and I swapped it out and it did nothing, I also swapped out the antenna amplifier and that did nothing. I even bought a new head unit from best buy and the issue did not go away. Everything is connected into the head unit correctly. When i touch the antenna the signal comes in. The only thing I can think of after everything i have read is that it is not grounded. Can anyone please help by letting me know which wire is the ground for the amplifier and how to check it/fix the issue. Please don't tell me to get a new head unit and just listen to XM because that does not help fix the issue.

 

I think the ground is in the hatch area.... i just saw a thread on this the other day but dont feel like looking for it
