The Headunit and screen probably another $1500.

PS2 you proabably already had.

Dynamat and all your wiring and caps probably set you back another $1500.

With the custom molding and what not, labor was at least $2500-$3000.

So about $7500-$8000 for that set-up.

Am I the winner on the next Price is Right?

Add in navigation and some aftermarket speakers and you'll be over $10,000 easily.

guru_ck, it's been a while but I believe I ordered mine from www.silviaparts.com. You can find it a little cheaper on www.pricejapan.com, but since it's a JAPANESE HU, you'll need to get an FM modulator if you want to get all the FM frequencies in the US. However, the one on SilviaParts is still made in Japan, BUT marketed for the Korean market, so the frequencies pick up perfectly, with no modification. Japan FM is off by 16 (I think), so if you wanted to listen to 102.7 FM, you actually have to set the HU to: 102.7 - 16 = 86.7 FM. Mine works just fine, without having to use arithmetic to listen to the radio!

drsifu, not too shabby, you're actually pretty close! I think the whole audio & video set-up ran about $6500, give or take a few hundred, including speakers, amps, subs, etc. Yeah, I know a lot of you are probably thinking that the money could've been put towards performance mods, but that's just not my cup of tea. I'm not too much of a speed/performance junkie. To each his own, right?

Phatmitzu, sure, knock yourself out. To be honest, the ports were originally going into the coin box area, but I saw a Z at Hot Import Nights with the PS2 ports in the cig adaptor location. I thought, "Now that looks pretty slick." Plus, if I decide to use a wirless RF controllers, I won't have 2 RF recievers jutting out right where my arm rests!

 

What kind of rims are those.. size, tires? cost?

all I can say is Wow.. definitely nice and clean, something that I would like to have but funding is a little limited. Great picks on the components. I really like where the rear subs are mounted and the stealth location of the amps via a false floor. Again very nice Wow..

By far the best install ive seen in a while, possibly ever.. id love to get my hands on thsoe Stealth Sub boxs, i have a single JL 10 looking to and another, and would love to put them there.. how did you come into them?

 

Well, my enclosures were custom fabricated, but I think that JL Audio is supposed to have (or will have) Stealth Boxes for the Z. Probably will be a lot cheaper than what I had done, too!

Did you have a custom install for the HU. I can't seem to find a frame that will fit the Sony Hu perfectly without fabricating one. Most Frames seem to leave a gap. IF you had one ordered where did u get it? and How much?

amazing, the whole thing is sweet as hell, but th ebest part in my eyes is the ps2 controller port, where the cig lighter was.. amazing, if i ever get out of debt from buying my Z then i would definitly want to put my money towards that! nice work
