What's the diff between those?

And it would be great if you had your install instructions posted on your site.
Most people will be less skeptical to buy if they could see the steps before hand.

The IROSD is actually fairly easy to build.
With the instructions provided it is only a few notches above Legos in difficulty.
The cabling is the difficult part.
Quality is the key: if you do not do it right then the image will be poor.

I have considered selling pre-built kits, but I wouldn't be able to charge enough to justify my time.
It takes me a few hours to build one, so I'd need to charge around $100 to cover costs and to make it worth my time.
That would bring the cost of my solution to $425:
$240 - GEX
~$100 - IROSD
$70 - Antennas
VGA cable, etc that would result in around $425.

Few people would pay that when the AVElec solution is complete at $525.
Let's face it: to most people that would make this mod, the difference between $425 and $525 is fairly trivial.

Sure, if someone wants to pay me $100 for one of my IROSD devices I will consider building it, but I have no delusions of quitting my day job!

I am still waiting to hear what AVElec has to say the differences are between the two units they sell.

If the cheaper one meets my needs I'll buy it. If I need to get their more expensive one I will build one like swoobyz has done.

I don't care about TV so I don't need anything that has to do with it. I only need a solution that will allow me to either use a dvd player or a PlayStation2.

The backup camera would be a nice addition but not something I really need.

How do you switch between the factory Nav and any other device you have connected to the GEX?
I saw one person using a toggle swithch mounted under their dash.

Even though the outside appearance looks almost the same, they are 2 different systems. The Super TV Tuner is just a regular car TV Tuner, it will require a regular LCD monitor for the display. The NavTV-Tuner System has all the features of the regular TV Tuner plus a Special Interface, Harness, and Switch to connect it to most OEM navigation system. The NavTV-Tuner is like an add on device/upgrade to the OEM Navigation System that utilize the same navigation screen as the main display. If you read the description of the 2 systems on our website you will understand the differences. Hope this helps.
