Default Where can I find an accessible hot wire in the engine bay?

Hi. I have installed a set of aftermarket headlights on my -08 350Z. They have LED ramps that I want to use as DRL, i.e. they should turn on when ignition is ON. There is no such wire in the 8-pin headlight connector as far as I can tell, so I need to find another suitable wire to get the juice from, reasonably close to the headlights. Any suggestions? LEDs pull little power so fuse size should not matter. I have the Haynes book, and it shows several options, but finding the physical location of all the boxes in the schematics is not trivial. Has anyone done this before?

I'm not sure if there is one in any of the fuse boxes in the engine bay. You can access the hidden one by removing the plastic cowling that surrounds the battery.

When I did this, I used a fuse tap from the interior fuse box and ran it through the firewall, but you can try checking the PG section of the FSM.

Aha. Fuse tap. I had forgotten that such things existed. Thanks!
