Default Custom iPod Touch Mount

So I decided to make a custom dash mount for my new iPod touch instead of just tossing it in the console where nobody can see it. I went to the local Freeman's car audio and got some scrap MDF they had laying around to start things off with. I cut the MDF to size and used a router to make the insert for the iPod. I had to notch the console itself on the side to allow the cord to come straight in the side; there's a little slack on the cord so I can pull it out to plug it in. I then wrapped it with black felt and screwed it in. It sits in there flush and is tight enough so the iPod doesn't fly out when I accelerate. Let me know what you guys think!

No, don't have to pay for internet, I just connected to the wireless in my house. I would do them for $75 plus shipping. It's a time consuming project, took me about 6 hours or so from start to finish. Let me know if your interested, and thanks for the feedback!

That is extremely cool! Being that I'm a CF freak, I bet that would look nice with some CF also. You are my hero for the day! Awesome idea.

Nice job! The biggest challenge in any DIY project of this nature is keeping the result from looking "ghetto". You have avoided that very well.

Yea I definitely wanted it to look clean, not just thrown in there. I like the CF idea, I just don't know anywhere around here to get something that would look good and conform to the shape right. I plan on painting the center dash section, I might do a fiberglass and paint one when that time comes.
