I haven't been able to find anywhere that will quote on it until the cars released and they've had a chance to look at it. Have you found anyone that is providing quotes?

well so far no one will give me any idea. given that the car is only 3-4 weeks from delivery, I'm hoping to get some feedback soon.
Although its a sports car, not having a turbo should be a positive (unlike a wrx/200sx) Thinking something like, and I hate to compare, a Monaro as its a coupe V8 60k plus so should be same ballpark.

There was an insurace thread about 2 weeks ago. Do a search. Folks actually quote rates in the thread. As for me, I'm with i21.com and they do have valid quotes, though they needed the VIN number. I'm 30, no tickets, 100/300/50 coverage with 250 / 1000 ded. Took the 1000 to reduce premiums big. I'm paying $800 / 6 months. Good luck!

I think the Monaro would be a good comparison as would most sports car in the same price bracket but the insurance company could decide differently.
There's actually a liitle blurb on the 350Z in the latest NRMA Open Road mag. One of the possible disadvantages listed was "insurance may be high". You'd think they'd know.
apharmdb, no offence intended but unless the other thread was discussing insurance in Australia it doesn't help us much. Insurance here works very differently than in the US. I don't even know what your 100/300/50 means and is that US$800? If so wow, that's about AUD$3000 a year. I'm expecting a lot less than that.

Insure.com give quotes for the z. I got my insurance through Progressive. They are the only ones who do not care about a suspension. I have a couple tickets and a suspension for sending in a ticket with no check-I was studying for the bar and apparently brain dead. I am paying about 245/mo. Just picked up my z on Saturday and it is incredible.

Ummmmm lets see if we can clear this up here and now.
Regional kinda means "local" or something close to it.
And unless a US company will insure me from way across the Pacific............... Please keep this a regional post.
No offence. Just trying to get the best deal down here

I haven't found any quotes yet, but guessing that it will be the same or close as the S2000.
The problem that we will face is that it is a 2 seater "Sports car".
They consider the wrx a sports car when actually is more like a family car. Go figure
When I owned my 89 CRX it was basically a civic. Same motor / same front half of car but because it had 2 seats instead of 4 the premium was higher.
My last policy renewal for my WRX was..... Guess.....
Republic Sroska
Bosnia & Herzegovina
Where you right ?
I personally will not under any circumstance drive the Z out of the showroom until my insurance is finalised.
If insurance is going to be like a turbo'd car I'm Fu#king going to go Ape **** as this is why I'm getting rid of my wrx.

Wait I know. Lets see ...
Start @ $0
Sports car +$1000
Remove 2 seats +$500
Has low centre of gravity +$100
HUGE BOSE SOUND SYSTEM +$300
Brembos.. Must drive fast otherwise u wouldn't buy it. Right ? +$800
= $2700
Then..
5 get stolen /written off
+$1000
Isn't that how it works ?

I was told by my dealer that the official release of the car is on Feb 6 up in the gold coast, and the first shipment would most likely arrive sometime in the next week. It would be assumed that the insurance companies would be able to give out figures only after that release... so it doesn't exactly give much time to get quotes!!

My quote today through QBE $1770 which is a hell of a lot for an old fellah (over 50) with maximum no claim bonus and a good driving record (a few speeding fines maybe). It's almost twice waht I currently pay for a 200SX. Doesn't make sense.

It must be me. I rang AAMI, NRMA, SUNCORP, A few brokers and no one was able to give me a quote.
Suncorp said they will be basing it on the 200sx S15 and I told them they could shove it. It is a NA car with no theft history.
I guarentee we are going to be f&cked up the A$$
