Where does your clutch engage?
Just curious as its a new car, but my clutch engages almost at the end release point (not close to the floor) is this normal?
Does anyone else's clutch grip at the very top?

My clutch is similar to the first poster
When letting it out, I only have about 1 inch of slack from the time it engages to the time its all the way out - maybe 2 inches at most.
Also, does anyone notice that there seems to be "humps" in the clutch. Like about 3/4 of the way out theres a hump thats harder to push ?

yeah.. I noticed that my clutch engagement was quite low when I first drove the car, but after the service, it is slightly higher already.... It is much easier to drive that way though, not as tiring as before! hehehe... probably I just got used to the clutch itself already!
Dealer can be able to adjust that for ya! No worries man!

My clutch engages after 1-2" inch depression. Nice, spongy (in a good way) feeling all the way after the sticky point, which is, as I said, about 1-2" in. I feel that while switching from lower gear to higher gear (such as 2nd to 3rd) less clutch is needed than vice versa. Interestingly, in higher gears I feel I have to depress the clutch more (like, all the way) than when in lower gears, but this may just have to do with higher revs and not being close to the new target revs when switching gears.
Having said that, I still produce the odd mis-shift, such as getting 3rd instead of 5th or 6th instead of 4th. The former is easier to notice, obviously. Occasionally I get it totally wrong and I'm off the clutch too early while my shift lever is somewhere in nowhere land, and it makes this awful grinding noise like I'm leveling out the cogs of my gearbox. Ouch. If someone else did this to my car, I'd probably smack them around the ears. Alas, when I do it, all I can do is blush sheepishly and hope nobody noticed.
