Grounding Kit
If anybody is interested, I've got two spare grounding kits at $40 each, including postage in Australia. Either PM or email me. I have used the higher temperature rated silicon covered cable rather than the standard PVC. I'll include the extra nuts, bolts and cable ties as well which are required. I have used copper lugs instead of gold plated ones as used in some of the expensive kits. In this application I don't think it will make a difference. Even $40 sounds a lot for 5 bits of cable with attached connectors. I'm not sure how some of the professional kits can justify their high prices.
The minimum amount of cable I could buy was 10 metres (3m per set) and with a minimum charge of $60 for crimping, fitting and heat shrinking the lugs, I ended up with 3 sets.
Whilst I haven't noticed any dramatic improvements, the idle rpm's are lower, so I guess it must be doing something good. It is difficult to determine whether the engine is smoother than before, although it is pretty good now.
It is very simple to fit, takes about 45 minutes.

Just check out the zillion's of posts on the subject by doing a search. Supposed to provide better earthing and cleaner response of signals from sensors to the ECU. Maybe it's the placebo effect, maybe not. There is a noticable drop in revs at idle. Maybe that proves it is doing something!
