Default current Borla group buy, yes/ no?

Just reading throught the current group buy for the Borla headers and exhaust and thought it was worth passing on the info.

headers - $549
exhaust - $649

Those are fantastic prices but the shipping is $350 door to door which makes it a bit too expensive at $2350 AUD without install costs.

Also the headers are NOT equilength thus are a P.O.S !

Is anyone interested in buying the Borla exhaust only and seeing what we can pull together on shipping?
I think if we get 3 interested persons it would be worth the freight!

I could be wrong but I thought I saw someone post they picked up the Borla for ~US$580. You may want to search around.

I'd love for someone to get the Borla in Oz and do before and after dyno tests. We could even dyno the Borla against my Amuse and compare results.

BTW despite there only being a dozen or so regular contributers in the Aussie regional forum we're more active than any other regional forum. Good stuff.

Are you sure thats not for the standard Borla exhaust? The true dual is about 100 bucks dearer.

I'll look around anyway and see if i can get an even better deal.

BTW as far a headers are concerned i think NISMO is the way to go. Either that or get a local guy to make some equilength headers and take the risk that they may not be as good...

It could be, I haven't paid much attention to Borla.

As for the Nismo ones find out who really makes them and buy them, they'll be cheaper.

Hello Zuffy

I am definately going for the Borla exhaust so a group buy sharing costs would be good. While we're about it, I also want the TechnoSquare ECU upgrade and the Crawford plenum.

There have been a few threads indicating no gains from the Borla headers.

Those three upgrades will set us back about USD1700 or A$2500 plus freight and duty.

I would like to wait a couple of months as there is a new plenum to be released soon, and I'm sure the ECU upgrade will come down from $595 once the initial rush has passed.

I've now gone off the Injen intake. Indications are that the current intake, maybe with a better filter is more than adequate.

Hi guys
Yes I do want an exhaust (not to mention FI) but I am going to wait at least 6 months before doing any mods. The Z is still a very new car and I would like to see more options in each of the mod areas from various performance speciallists. More importantly, especially where FI is involved, I also want to see what the effect is on the engine life, so I will sit on the sidelines for now.

Sorry guys, those of you have met me may have picked up on it, but I'm not as in touch as some of you others when it comes to mods and things.

I would be more than happy to participate in group buys if only I knew what it all meant. Performance products are way over me.

Rest assured though, I am reading your posts and I think I am picking up some things.

Keep on posting and if I ask some of you some questions that might sound a little stupid, please go easy on me.

Right....now that's cleared up, do some more mods so I can see the results and dream.

fatman i'm reading a number of threads that seem to support that a custom full duel exhaust seems to produce some of the best results.

This is something that is easily produced here localy. I'll do some more investigation and see if we can get a local true dual made up.

The borla is cheap right now though even after shipping is added.
