Welcome to the forum !
Marriage and a Z in the same week? lol
Congratulations on both
During run in, I would mostly advise to look out for speed cameras.
You will find it hard to stay under 4000rpm
Enjoy !

thanks guys,
I was going crazy scrolling through all the forums out there every evening/morning/lunch time - it got to the point where I decided that if I don't get myself a Z I was going to go crazy or explode so I went out and was lucky enough to find a blue one for immediate delivery. Sort of a wedding present to me, too much excitement for one week I can tell you!
I hope I don't run into any of the problems ppl have been having...

The problems are mostly minor so don't worry, just enjoy it.

Congrats on both counts

Mine has been problem free since day 1
Only complaint would be the sound system, which is about to be replaced .
The only good thing about the Bose would be that it plays Mp3's

Welcome Lee and Im sure you will enjoy the car.

Dont worry about the problems, they are all minor and in the grand scheme of life, insignificant!

If you're like me the only thing that really gave me the ***** was the audio pilot. I felt like throwing the stereo in the bin after about an hour.

Do a search and find the "20cent bose fix" and your life will get so much better.

The only other thing I would suggest is to get a wheel alignment done. There have been some instances (mine included) where the alignment is not so good.

Anyway, good luck for Saturday. Im sure you've heard this enough already, but, make sure you and your wife take time to enjoy the day as it really does go too fast! It will be over before you know it.

Hope you enjoy Gods country, the Hunter Valley. Ill look out for you as Im up there a bit.

Now, in all seriousness, why didnt you get the fastest colour Z rather than the boring old blue (LOL)?

As always

Sorry, forgot to add one thing.

Make sure you and your wife know the car can be quite rough to ride in, especially on rough roads. Some of the roads in the Hunter arent as good as the nice roads you get to drive on down in the big smoke

There's nice roads in the city? You're making that up just like that whole red is faster thing. I've told you before Red = stop = slower than other colours

Welcome leeblue. It's good to see you have joined the blue crew.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and your funky new toy. I hope your new wife doesn't mind you spending time with the new blue mistress.

MP3s on the Bose? Awesome.

Some CD ROM curning software will automatically take a list of MP3s and burn them in "normal" MUSIC CD format. For example, if you tell NERO that you want to make a music CD and then drag a bunch of MP3 files to the burn list it will make a plain old music cd.

It would be awesome if the bose would play a DATA cd with MP3s on it since that would hold a lot more music.

Hi AndyB, I tried the old data disc with MP3s thing and it doesn't work.

I thought that maybe the system takes a longer time to index everything and then play it back because of the sheer number of MP3s you can store on one disc. So, I left it sitting for more than 5 minutes and still no joy.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head with the "Nero type" program explanation.
