locknuts
Welcome to the site Richard.
I bought some lock nuts from Bob Jane T-Marts about 6 weeks ago. I have not put them on yet as I wanted to get a wheel alignment done at the same time.
The ones I bought were not expensive (something like $25-$30), but they should do the job.
The guy there said he can sell me the $100+ version but they are really not much harder to take off. Basically if someone wants your wheels, they will take them one way or another.

Locknuts are most effective when combined with a good alarm. Generally the banging that goes on to remove the locknut or at least the car being jacked up should set off the alarm.
I agree with what the Bob jane guy said though, there's not much difference between them. I got one of the $100+ sets but that's because they're the ones the dealer threw into the deal.

Direct off the shelf from autobarn - take a wheel nut in with you if you havn't got the thread details. They had a series of test studs to check the nut.
Just a word of warning - make sure the hex on the removal tool matches your wheel brace, its a problem if part A doesn't fit part B.
