What do the closed ones with the dot mean?

And at the foot of the whole window the red one AND the one under it say the same ?

Why the hell can't I save the Aus/NZ forum in my favourites and
just go straight to that, instead of having to go thru the whole
rigmarole of starting right at the beginning?
Can do it with other forums, cookies are enabled etc. ?

Snowman, the closed envelope with a dot means there has been no new posts (since your last look) and that you have contributed to that thread.

Not sure what you mean about the red one?

I have the Oz forum saved as a fave and go straight to that, not sure why you cant do the same.

Yes I am at work, obviously working hard!!(downloading some music and catching up on the boards).

The yellow "open" envelopes mean there is a new post. The orange open envelope signifies there is a new post AND there have been more than 40 posts or 400 views.

The grey closed one means there are no new posts and the grey closed one with the squiggles above it mean there are no new posts and the thread has had 40 replies or 400 views.
