Hi Guys,
I'm just looking into what tyres are available for the 350Z. I'm looking for track tyres that would go on separate rims. They need to be road-legal so that I could drive to the track and back (ie. DOT approved). I am having a hard time finding R-spec tyres that match the 350Z Track specs (which are 225/45/18 and 245/45/18).

I looked at Toyo RA-1 and the closest match I could find was 225/40/18 and 275/35/18. Also I looked at Bridgestone RE540s and the closest match there is 235/40/18 and 245/40/18.

Has anyone already looked into this? Does anyone know of R-spec DOT legal tyres that can be bought here and match the original 350Z Track specs? Also what about the price?

ps. It looks like the abovemention RE540s can be had for $1500.
