What do you guys think about getting a POD/Short Ram from C&V motors?
I still havent done the dyno after the HT (HiTech), coz croydon is just way too far for me, and I work 7 days is not helping either.

may want to try C&V coz its a little bit closer...

but do you guys think doing it at C&V is a good idea? where did you all do your baseline at? croydon or c&v?

Well, they are the same type of dyno (I think), but croydon does it shootout mode dont they? Isnt that what happened with someone here? And that gave very high numbers for some reason.

Thats what happened to you.

You will have to continue going to croydon so you can compare your gains to your baseline dyno results. Otherwise you might actually end up with a lower result.

I recommend you use a dyno that shows RPM vs Power NOT what Croydon do.

In the end you only need to do a baseline if you plan to mod the car further. I plan to mod quite heavily so i want to know i'm getting what i'm paying for.

If you are only putting the exhaust on then let the butt do all the dynoing for you.

Yes rpm is better but I think some model dyno's just cant do that, I think C&V have the same thing as they use the same type of dyno. Im pretty sure you cant just turn it on or off. But you dont really need rpm anymore than you need kph if your just comparing your own charts, but it would be nice to have.

I think every power mod/ group of mods needs to be dyno'd to justify its existance in my mod line up.

Re dynos it doesn't matter which one you useas the overall number doesn't matter other than for bragging rights. What you want to do is use the same dyno each time. That way you can look at percentage increases.

As for kph Vs RPM I've found that all of the dyno places I've used in Sydney do it in kph. I don't know why. I'll ask if I remember. I've been thinking of doing another dyno at Croydon to:
1. Check if the ECU has cancelled the gains from the Amuse
2. If they can only run in shootout now to establish a new basline

EDIT: BTW if you haven't looked at the calendar sticky recently there's another NSCC dyno day at Croydon in early April. Given the popularity last year it *may* be limited to club members only this year. I'll post more info closer to the date.

AFAIK, me.

EDIT: I should point out that there probably will be enough room for some invites. Even if you don't want to run there'll be a BBQ and it's interesting to see some of the figures put out.

Hmm may join.

Do you really think your ECU has 'learned' out your exhaust? or you've just got used to it? I guess thats why your getting a exhaust.

The club is mostly 200SX and I haven't been on many trips with them but I've enjoyed those that I have gone to.

I don't think it has reverted back but I thought it would be a way of settling that issue for good, at least as far as I'm concerned.

The few times I've been it was only myself but I have heard of 2 other Zeds that have attended when I haven't.

IMO it's worth it just for the GTP days. Last year they organised parking and corporate boxes at all the events which was nice.

The photos and results from last years dyno day can be seen here.

Nathan and my Zeds were the only ones to run on the day but a few forum members turned up for the show.

Hey Otto, this may seem like a very conformist and boring kind of question, but what do Nissan make of the Pop Charger? Will they honor the warrantee with it attached? Have you asked?

Nissan's view in regards to all modifications, is that that they dont care about them but if there is a problem and the mod is found to be responsible for the problem then Nissan wont fix it under warrenty.

So they wouldnt mind the pop charger, unless it causes a problem down the track then they wont fix that problem under warranty.

I phoned them(another dealership just in case) and asked.

What club are you talking about apsilon?

I did a run or two with Skylines Australia and a skid pan day too at Eastern Creek. Good guys that I met.

Nissan Sports Car Club. They don't officially allow skylines etc as they've limited it to locally sold models. There are a few exceptions though from what I've seen.
