Let me think about it for a few days.

Before I do that is anyone exceptional at writing letters of complaint? I could do it and will if no-one else wants to. I also have a friend who writes for an ad agency who I could have look over it.

What I propose is that a letter be written then posted here so we can all have input. I'd propose that the master copy contain a list of names but also that everyone involved should print and sign their own copy and then fax or mail it to a central point so signatures can be produced should the need arise. I guess in addition perhaps there should be a series of checkboxes so we can indicate exactly which problems each person has.

Does anyone have a list of the TSBs or better yet copies of TSBs issued in the US?

I think we should add Bridgestone Aust to the list of recipients as well.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks Harry, just what I need, more work. If anyone else wants to do it I'm happy to let them.

I've never looked at that section before but it looks like it could be just what we need.

Everyone have a think over the weekend and we'll see what other suggestions we come up with then I'll look at drafting something. Oh something else worth considering is how we can increase the number of participents. There's not a lot of us here and the more signatures the better.

http://www.swooby.com/z/stereo/petition/

Here is an online US petition, the guy actually didnt send this one in because Nissan came out with TSB NTB03087. Which refers to general clarity.

http://www.swooby.com/z/stereo/petition/ntb03087.pdf

If you look at the pdf document, it says car built between:

Sept 27 2002 to June 10 2003

It also asks you to check the ID on the amplifier.

Bose would have no reputation/ customers if they created a stereos like this that wasnt in a car.

I could create a website petition if that would be easier to get more people in on it?

I've seen that petition. I even signed it

The thing is a petition relies on numbers, something we'll probably never have which is why I think getting copies to as many potentially interested parties as possible is important. Anyway it's all food for thought.

I think we could get some response as long as we faxed all the letters of complaint to the same person.

Ie... Lets not call it a petition... 15-20 individual complaints has way more effect.

Our target could be Bob Hanley the Manager of Customer Service and Dealer support for Nissan Oz. Customer relation is on 03 9797 4111 FYI.

Thanks Zuff. I was just thinking of calling Nissan HQ tomorrow and seeing who I should address it to.

Guys,

If we do something like this then we should address all issues.

Why is it that there are all these TSBs in the US and Japan however in Australia the response from Nissan is that the US and Japan cars are built differently and these dont apply. Its the biggest load of crap!

For example:
- Window grease - In Oz its every dealer to resolve rather than a proper fix
- Number plate surround - Its loose, and again dealer only fix
- Tyre feathering - No response in Oz
- Bose - No response

I am sure there are others!

Mike, that's my intention. I haven't done as much as I would've liked this weekend but within the next few days I'm planning on going throught the TSBs and gather what we need.

I'll also create a new thread shortly and sticky it so it's a bit more obvious to those that just pop in and don't check every thread.

let me know if I can help.

I sent them a letter not too long ago to help resolve the windows, central locking and seat power failure as well as a list of the other issues and all the did is sent me to a dealer and I never heard again.

Love the car but Nissan have really pee'd me off!

Everybody should be aware of my situation - so I won't repeat.

Suffice to say that if there's a consensus I'll be there!

Missed a good opportunity at the motorshow - I made very public blast at their seniors @ last Syd. show - and certainly got some reaction from onlookers.

They pissed around then with an alignment for a PORSCHE and then sent the car to bridgestone where the ****** told me the
tyres were only good for 10000k anyway so why worry?

I rotated the tyres myself and this made a huge improvement - but i'ts
still unacceptable.

Rude, dismissive, theiving fuggers!

And they wanted me to service the car at their dealerships! - like fuggen hell!

I took my car apart on the weekend.

I was checking the serial number on the BOSE amp. It took ages, I snapped one clip and had two bits left over after I put it back together. There are alot of parts that have to come off to get at the amp, most of which arent the easiest to put back on. But now I know that mine is one of the amps which should be replaced.

Y, there is an Oz TSB out to fix the seat. Take it back to the dealer and get them to fix it.
