Default Best Motoring 6/2004

Just got this DVD today and watched it.

This DVD test the Nismo Z S-Tune GT (long nose that most people don't like)

I can't understand much japanese because there is no Subtitle.

But all i know that in performance term by comparing to stock 0-100kmh and Quater mile is almost identical except quater mile Nismo Z only 0.100 sec faster than Stock.

They do Cone test on high speed. From what i see the Nismo Z can to 160 kmh as Stock can only do 150 kmh. Therefore it's 10 kmh faster.

On track Starting Grid:
1. Renault Clio Sport V6 (MR)
2. Mazdaspeed RX8
3. Lotus Elise 111R
4. Nismo Z S-Tune GT
5. Honda Integra Type-R
6. BMW M3 CSL
7. Lancer EVO VIII MR

Track condition was wet at 7.8 Degree Celcius

Finish Grid:
1. BMW M3 CSL
2. Lancer EVO VIII MR
3. Nismo Z S-Tune GT (Overtaken by EVO on second last corner lap)
4. Lotus Elise 111R
5. Renault Clio sport V6 (MR)
6. Mazdaspeed RX8
7. Honda Integra Type-R

They have praise alot on the Nismo S-tune GT as a evolution car. (at least what i think they said )

I think the Nismo GT has done a very good job. Where as the Mazdaspeed RX8 is a waste of money. Because it's slower on 0-400m compare to stock, but slightly faster on 0-100 kmh run by 0.100 sec compare to stock.

here is the link and Video Trial:

It will sound distorted if you try to compress the sound too much in any program. Can you adjust the compression level of the sound?

There's a guide on http://doom9.net on how to do audio compression using .ogg format. It gives very good results and creates small files, a lot better then mp3 which is used usually with divx.

EDIT: This is the guide http://www.doom9.org/ogg.htm

Thanks to Yun all of you guys can now enjoy the Best Motoring DVD.

To get underway you will need to get a bittorrent client, you can use the ABC torrent cleitn if you don't have one.

Once you download it, go to http://jarek.dnsalias.org/torrent/ and click on a torrent file you want to download. Your browser should automaticly open the file in torrent client and start downloading the avi file.

After you have finished downloading the file, please leave the ABC client running for as long as possible. It's going help me share the load and it's going to make uploads faster for others.

Thanks.

I'd like to see these but being the end of the month I'm a bit tight on download allowance. Are they going to disappear any time soon?

If others leave their bittorrent clients running, you shouldn't have any problems getting it since it shouldn't be hammering my ADSL connection so much and I'm going to leave it running for quiet some time.

Just realised I have a 12GB limit, not 10GB as I was thinking. Got 2GB to download in the next couple of days...

Sorry guys.
