Default Paint Protection

Excuse the ignorance but car yard "after market care" are pushing paint protection for my new Z. Being highly sceptical I would normal ignore it but, given all the charming stories of chipping etc, is it worth it or just BS. Anyone had it done?

Thanks All

From what I've heard is BS and waxing the car is a lot better investment.

You don't need it AND it won't protect the paint from chipping.

Keep your money in your pocket and buy something more worthwhile for your new baby!

As always

i have done it, well, i basically can use water to wash off the dirt (the nissan dealer said) but the rims still can't clean off the brake dust.

Save or money, buy Zanio it's a top product, I've tried them all including the so called paint protection (crap).

I had paint protection and after about 10 months, I decided to wax the car. Now the paint finish is shinnier and the paint feels slippery.

Water beads on the car with the wax and did not with the paint protection.

Much happier with wax, but the time involved waxing sux. Actually cleaned and waxed the car this afternoon and I feel f**ked - must be getting old - but damn it the car looks GOOOD (an 80yo lady told me so as I was waxing).

Don't waste your hard earned cash!

Buy a top of the range wax or try Zaino. You'll never look back!

I've been using Zaino for about 2 months and absolutely love it. Check out my pictures on 350zfrenzy (look at sig for exact address). Mind you, the pics don't do the car justice. The paint is smooth as and it's an absolute joy applying it to the "shapely" Z.

I've always looked after my cars but Zaino takes you to another level. I loved it so much I even use it on my wife's Astra now!

It is expensive, but generally you will get the same sort of feedback that I've given from anyone who's used it.

You can buy the $250.00 pack from eclipse detailing http://www.eclipsedetailing.com.au/

me too. First went with Crystal guard. Have a lot of Trouble with it when you don't have a House that have a private car wash bay. Crystal Guard is not friendly for apartment owner

Therefore i switch to Zaino i think i have 20+ coats so far and Counting

As for Eclipse, they are too damn expensive.

Zaino gave me a contact in Singapore which sent me a kit for around 150 AUD.

Do a search for Cazcomp on the zainobros website and you can get their number. If you're happy to email try zymga@singnet.com.sg !

I'm putting in an order soon for my new Kluger CVX. Took it on an 800km run to Barrington Tops without a scratch.
