For Sale: Volk LE37T Gold, 10.5 and 9.5 (both 19" and 22 offset)
Hey youve all probably read the previous post. The shipper in the US actually send me larger rims than I had ordered.... I assumed they were 9.5 and 8.5, but... no.. these are 10.5 and 9.5.
Here are a couple of photos of the wheels (these are not photos of mine, but same models - I will upload my photos once I get my digicam cable today).
These rims are very hard to get in gold. If you order them, manufacture and delivery takes 60-90 days.
Anyway, I am offering these at a really good price, so message or PM me if your interested.
Thanks,
Dave

Ok, so I have a picture or two here. Not very clear (used phone camera), but you get the picture of the color combo.
The 295s are huge on the rear. Having gone from 275R and 245F to 295R and 275F, I feel a big improvement in steer-in. The tyres are right on width. There is a little space 2cm between the front and rear suspension and the inner radius of the tire. The front in 275 still turns full lock to lock no rubbing. The rear, does not rub. Next week the Tein goes on (with the camber and toe arms) and lowers a little, maybe .8". Will find out what the limits are for rubbing with this tyre spec.
Anyway, here is a picture of the gold on silver... CWest style some might say.. once a little of that wheel arch space goes, it should look ok. Can't wait for the silver rims though.
And to those who have enquired about buying the rims from the US... sorry, but the shipping is about $US500, it wont be worth your money.
Thanks,
Dave

I gotta say, these Pirelli tyres kick **** in the wet. I've been pushing some corners to test traction both with TCS on and off, and I chicken out before I lose traction... I can only compare to stock though... which are no doubt shitty tyres... and i guess you'd expect good performance cos the Rossos cost a mother load of cash.

The fact that they are a 295 wide tyre, stretched over a ten and a half inche wheel might help also.
Do you have a photo showing if the wheels / tyres stick out at all past the fendor? i.e take a short from the front of the car looking down the side at the wheel arches.

Hey guys,
I had the pleasure of taking the car down to Kangaroo Valley today... some nice windy roads, some hairpins, and a little moisture remaining was a good test for the new wheel and tyre setup. Today I pushed pretty hard through some ninety degree lefts and rights, and got the back end out, but only minor corrections were required to bring it back into line. Far better than the stock understeer.
I feel the car is slightly heavier on the steering, but at speed, it tends to feel a little light on its feet, a little drifty. Not sure if the wider diameter causes this??
All in all, totally stoked. Oh yeah, i got my first bloody speeding fine. 15 and over (was apparently doing 97 in an 80 zone (******* cop). I was thinking about writing in with tyre diameter changes to say my speedo might be off. He also got me for not having my license on me. haha. Poor jelous cop!
The car feels like it does need some suspension mods to match the tyres. I think the extra width would work better with less body roll. The roadster has lighter suspension ride than the coupe too, so it the change should be fairly noticable when the Teins go on with Stillen sways.
Anyway... I will get those photos when I get back to Sydney on Saturday.
Thanks,
Dave

What do you mean by "lighter suspension ride"? As the roadster weights 80kgs more than the coupe. Do you mean the suspension is softer, i.e less sporty?
P.S Glad you like the wheels, though you are selling them. Bad luck with the speeding fine.

Yeah, I love the wheels, but not the color. I ordered gunmetal. Anyway, the silver/gunmetals are on their way. I am selling the golds (or I may return them for a refund - but the freight is a *****).
The roadster comes with a softer suspension from the factory than the coupe. You can feel it lean a little, and with the 295/275 setup, it is too soft.
By the way, gold LE37Ts at 19" go for $US750. Thats about 1050 Australian dollars. I am selling all four for $4300. That is a bargain considering I had to pay around $AU800 in freight to get them to Aus, and another $400-500 for import duties.
Thanks,
Dave

I paid AU$980-1000 per wheel delivered to my door including all imports etc. I ordered them through a guy here in AU who orders them from Rays in Japan. And obviously I have a local person to hold responsible if they stuff up.

At around $600 per tyre, you'd want those Rossos to stick like the pages of a teenagers **** mag.
Too bad about the fine, but luckily you did not get done for doing a ridiculous speed, which I'm confident you would have done around some sweepers.
BTW, why don't you send the wheels back if you were sent the wrong colour / sizes, instead of trying to sell them?

Hey mchapman... are those LE37Ts, and what color? That is a good price. That link to their website doesnt come up though. Remember golds are $US75 more per wheel. The LEs are also an extra $US75 - 100 or so. That might explain the difference??
I would send the wheels back, but the seller (Evolution Autosports) refuses to accept the return, despite admitting fault at sending the wrong wheels. Even if I did send the wheels back, I would have to pay 500 shipping or so, and the refund would only come after the wheels get to Evolution.
I am offering the wheels here for a little less than the cost of the replacement set, and much less than what Evolution sold them to me for.
Anyway, doesnt matter so much if I don't sell them. I'm considering getting a coupe know as well. We will see....

No they were Volk GTC and Silver. The point though was that they are local and the same price or very near to importing from overseas, and you have someone nearby who you can send them back to without the worry of shipping.
