Peter - you might have some suggestions re this - can I sleep in the waiting room?

Make it 4 days (the conversion takes a little longer than first expected) and the showroom is always available though I'm sure we could organise better accommodation for you whilst you have a little holiday in Melbourne.

I assume APS tuned it for ~8 PSI so was curious between the difference of 1.2 PSI was making.

I've asked David to run up a 1000kms on the TT system before we do the final dyno testing so give it a few weeks and then I'm sure David will post the power graph for you guys.

True the APS Twin Turbo Z car is tuned for a higher state of power though the engine and the Intercooled Twin Turbo system on Davids car is identical to that on the APS Z car.

I believe that after some of the talk of failed con rods in the US that David wanted to start out with a more conservative state of engine tune..................can't blame him for feeling this way as I also have been concerned about the same issue though I suspect there's more to the con rod issue than has been diagnosed to date.

Peter, my brother is intending to go TT. What's needed to be done to get his 350z into the twin-turboing process?

What would you also recommend doing just to be that little extra sure the engine doesn't die when twin-turboing and how much would it cost all up roughly?

Mate good to hear from you. Now all you need to do is make a booking maybe best to get your brother to call me at the office to arrange a suitable date as long as there is TT stock available.

I'd prefer to leave the engine dead stock (if I were to do anything it would be the con rods) as the partial throttle power/off boost power will always be nicer with the higher static comp ratio.

Thanks

Ok I've had the car now one and half weeks 900km's I'll try and do it justice with the written word, first arriving at anywhere I'm going takes longer, why? because I have to wait for the errection/stiffie to subside before getting out of the car. Jokes aside words don't do this transformation justice, as a daily drive it performs perfect, its easly to drive there's no jerking or sudden surges, it just so smooth in fact I noticed with my normal driving style around town the fuel consumpion has improved, yep my normal around town N/A setup was using 8.9 - 9.4km/ltr at best and just yesterday I noticed it was using 10.4 km/ltr which is a real bonus. Performance wise it just about flies and does use quite and I mean quite a bit more fuel, you can't have performance without using more fuel. I notice just how much at the Sandown track last Sunday I used about 3/4 of a tankfull for aroud 26 laps or 4 sessions of 10mins each, the TT performed faultlessly all day, water temp stayed normal not even the slightless increase, no hot smells of anything getting to hot I just had a great day. I did manage to check my fastest top speed for the day (DavidM) 218km/h up the back straight and maybe faster on the main straight but I was to busy watching for the braking marker for turn one to glance at my speed but I believe it could have been quicker. This was an untimed event but I was circulating around the track at approx the same speed as the the GTR's and much faster than one of the RX7 Turbo's circulating, all in all I was pretty stoked. Am I happy with this setup, what do you think? sh#t YES.

David

Good to hear David - Pity it was un-timed. So now, when's your next trip to the dragstrip??

Launches and gear changes should be very interesting

Not required with this setup, plus they're illegal.

Hi.
Any news on current power figures, drivability issues etc....
I'm sure there are a lot of people keen to know exactly what this package makes at the wheels and how it is travelling now after being run in.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks.

Not at the moment, APS hasn't got a setup for the auto model but may have by mid 2005 so save up your money.
