There should be a mosport 2/3 days HPDE around that date with the BMW CC trillium chapter as well. Was there last year and it was extremly nice. Very well organized with small groups, skidpad exercises, lunch, club race, etc...
you will like the tracks

Does the Audi club run their events like they do in this area, i.e., lots of slow speed car control exercises, instead of lots of track time?
John, do you have any links to the events?

Bruce:
I believe the Mosport event is a two day deal.
Audi Club events vary I suppose. When I instructed with the local area club at VIR, there were a lot of slower drivers and they ran a special "slow speed" session for the beginner group on the first day. However, the more advanced groups run a normal HPDE format.
Only links I have are general ones to their calendar... Mosport event || Audi event

Very few PCA regions are exclusive to Porsches as far as I know (the DC region being one of them). However, it's quite possible that a membership is required (just like ACNA).

Mont-Tremblant 7-8-9 July BMW fest east (joint HPDE between various BMW chapters)
Mont-Tremblant 11-12-13 august BAB8 (Boston + Quebec chapter)
Mosport 8-9-10 september Mosport Dayze (BMW Trillium Chapter)
Beside those I would like to try out 2-3 days VIR and/or Watkins Glen. Still looking for good events there(reccomendations welcome).
Maybe an extra event at either mosport or tremblant in autumn + 3-4 free lapping days on minor tracks around here.
BTW... PCA NER has a tremblant HPDE on 10-11-12 july... in conjunction with BMW fest east that makes for 6 consecutive days of tremblant top level HPDEs.

What he said!
Plus, Road America, about 2 1/2 hours north in CheeseHead Land. Plus Gingerman & Grattan "across the pond" in Michigan. And, Putnam in Indiana.

If you're making the trip up, you have to try and squeeze some lapping on the new Calabogie Motorsports Track. It's about 1 hr west of Ottawa and pretty much mid way between Mosport and Tremblant. The track should be getting paved early spring and ready to run mid summer. I've driven on it while it was still gravel and was impressed. It's very Tremblant'ish with lots of elevation changes and technical turns. You really get the feeling as though you're on a journey.
Fall is the best time in Ontario. Comfortable temperatures, low humidity, and amazing colors. Rain typically comes later October/November.

The layout of Calabogie looks great. If it's paved it will be a fun track close to both Ottawa and Montreal.

Yeah, there were municipality issues outside of their control.
One of the councillors passed away so there was a long delay to elect another representative etc... There's been strong local resistance for the track because of noise concerns being that it's cottage country and all. They seem to ignore the fact that the track is over 10km away in a natural bowl and street mufflers will be required etc...
As per their site they've received final approval but of course, there's been an appeal. That should be addressed (for the last time) this spring.

Did you read the article in Grassroots about taking your car to Canada? I would read carefully before you decided to go. There is a lot of work to do before you actually cross the boarder.
