Track Day at Autobahn Country Club Near Chicago
The 3rd annual (we took a hiatus in 2005) Lotus Ltd. (www.LotusCarClub.org) track day at AutoBahn Country Club road course (www.AutobahnCountryClub.net) in Joliet, IL is Monday, June 5,2006. Hopefully the weather will be as beautiful as previous years and the driving even more fun. Our track day is open to all cars which pass tech inspection. The date is Monday, June 5, 2006.
WE WILL BE USING THE FULL 3.56 MILE, 21 TURN ROAD COURSE!!!!
The price, $235 is the same as previous years for all participants (Includes a 1-year membership in Lotus Ltd.). How about that for no inflation. The same rules apply including limiting the number of cars so we all get plenty of track time again. Like the previous years, we will have early tech inspections the evening before at a local hotel and at the track the day of the event. We will have instructors on hand as well.
For those of you worried about hotel accommodations, we've blocked 15 rooms at the Fairfield Inn (815) 741-3499 and 10 rooms at the Hampton Inn (815) 725-2424 both in Joliet, IL. The rooms are being held under "Lotus Ltd." You are responsible for hotel reservation and payment. Both hotels are about 10 minutes from Autobahn Country Club.
Upon receipt of your application and check, I'll forward a track day packet to you with all the pertinent information.
If you have questions contact me at (314) 889-0572 or e-mail me at Feffman@Yahoo.com.
Happy Motoring!!!

Yes we ran our event at Putanm Park in 2003 and 2004. Due to scheduling of our national Lotus Owners Gathering, we took a break in 2005. Back on track (pun intended) for 2006.
E-mail me direct at Feffman@Yahoo.com and I'll send the registration form.

Haha!! Nothing YOU would recognize as an elevation change John. You've really got to get out this way soon and run on the flat tracks of the flat lands!!
I've run the North course and the South course both and neither is much to write home about. They are both very slow courses with little challenge. IMO, the North track does have some charm, but the other Z driver's here don't seem to share my opinion of it. The South course kind of reminds me of Gingerman in its character.

BTW, for experienced PCA veterans, think 5/1 at ABCC. I know where I'll be!
John, I'll let you know about any Elkhart Lake events as soon as info is available. You'll like it.

Glad to hear you will be there ZIllinois. Perhaps you might give me some pointers on the use of the 3.9 that weekend. I appreciated your helpful suggestions before I made the selection. Just got it in installed with a ATS carbon LSD. Will need some good coaching on how to use this set up on the track. Will you be an instructor?

I wont be instructing, but I would be willing to give some coaching, for a ride in your car. I'd really like to feel the difference that the ATS diff makes. I don't know if they allow ride alongs at this event.
