Default Need advice: front sway bar

I am hoping to buy a sway bar soon but am not sure which one to buy. My primary goal is to make my Z a better autox BS car, I've looked throught various posts and it seems that the 350evo and hotchkis bars are the top choices.

I am also wondering if it makes sense to install a sway bar w/o also installing koni's? Would the car become unbalanced by just installing a sway bar and not making any other changes? TIA!

i run the evo bar and the only complaint i have is how much front end noise i have now. i replaced the endlinks and it fixed the problem for about a few days and now it clunks over any uneven surface and really makes me not want to drive my car.

Mmm, interesting, I guess hotchkis is the way to go then? Has anyone tried the Stillen 5-way adjustable? It ranges from 7% to 70% stiffer than stock: http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...roducts_id=336

I have a set of stillen bars on the way for my autocrosser. I was told that prothane bushings were the way to go with those cars, so I picked up a set of those as well. They should be here next week, I'll let you guys know how they work out.

can you purchase stillen bars separately?

i would also look into the cusco bar. i've heard good things about it. i may get rid of my evo bar because of the noise! gah.

I would go with the Hotchkis bar. Its hallow and a good bit lighter than the evo bar. I personally wish I had gone with the hotchkis bar myself.

hm.. can you purchase the hotchkis bars separately? i'd hate to have a rear bar just laying around. i think i might go with the nismo bar and the heim end links.

The nismo sway bars are close to $900! Why are they so expensive???!?!?

What is the function of the Heim Jointed Drop Links?

more adjustiblility to the sway bar sby chanigng the length. also gives better turn in and steering response. no play in the rubber bushings. NO CLUNKING. the nismo bars are only 400, but these cost an additional ~300 and is sold with the t2 kit.

The T2 kit is actually made by 350evo... er, they are 350evo bars, with the drop links included for the front and rear.another advantage of having adjustable end links is that if you're corner weighting the car, you can then remove any pre-load from the sway bars due to wheels sitting at slightly different heights

lightweight is not something to strive for in a swaybar...

Cusco is nice (I run it), but the best bang for the buck is the Progress

I have following bars available at very reasonable price.
1.25" solid(same as 350 evo)
1.3125" solid

The 1.25" bar was used on our '03 Enthusiast that came in 6th in BS at 2003 Nationals. Both bars use stock end links and bushings which we prefer.
If interested pm me for details. Jim & Carter Thompson
