Default suspension setup, excellent balance!!

Well, I just got back from my first autocross with my partially complete race setup. At the moment, the car is running 275/40/R17 falken azenis RT615s all around, on 17x9 wheels. Sway bars are stillen, set medium front and stiff rear, with prothane bushings. Springs are tanabe GF210s, with stock shocks. I was pretty impressed with the balance of the car. It's oversteer biased, but didn't want to spin, just push out into a four wheel drift. The course today was on the slippery side and let me experiment with different slip angles. This is really the first time I've ever difted (race drifting, not drifting-drifting) the car on purpose. It was pretty controllable in a moderate slide. I'm not sure of my alignment settings, but they are somewhere around 3 degrees of negative camber in the rear, 2 degrees in the front. I'll give another report when I get my tokico d-specs shocks and tokico springs on. I'm curious to see what the 375/375 spring rates will do to the suspension balance. Going from an understeer bias to an oversteer bias was a pretty big change; I need some practice driving those late apex lines so I can take advantage of it. Just thought I'd throw some information out there for anyone who's looking.

Thanks for sharing.

Be careful should you ever go on a road course with that setup. Higher speeds tend to make a neutral car oversteer in fast curves (or exit ramps) :-)

Yep, I'm aware of that, that's why I run staggered tires on the street.
