Default I have never lost to a Z this bad and it was my own car

Got a call yesterday, a friend of one of my usual Solo2 crew needed a co-drive opportunity since his Nationals competitive miata is getting a new motor. He drove my car today in our regional event. In a ~60 second course he drove my car and beat me by 3 seconds (an eternity for a course this size)! I don't remember the last time I lost to another 350Z and this guy whooped me in my own car in his first time driving a 350Z. Small consolation is he also whooped a couple of RX-8's that were being prepped for Pro Solo tour events on his way to winning the BSP class today (he normally runs CSP in his miata).

Hey at least I know I have another 3 seconds or so to find - a challenge but now I know my car can beat the C4 prepared vettes.

i have seen a miata driver beat a 350z driver first time in the car too. generally they are a lot better at using momentum to be fast rather than just using the cars torque and horsepower to get from point a to point b. having the ability to control momentum added with the extra oomph of the 350z can be lethal...

eh.. i'm not sure what type of mods you have on your car but i still think a bsp 350z (unless fully prepped.. but still i think a c4 would have the advantage) would have a hard time beating rita's vette at nationals. the vettes have oodles of more torque. weigh pretty much the same if not less... and can fit extra wide tires under there. i would love to see someone spend the... 20k and prep one though. i wonder what we could put up front? 295??

hmm... could a bsp 350z make 300whp/300wtq? intake, exhaust, intake manifold, headers, tune.. probably?

I may be wrong but I think Rita may be campaigning a C6 Z06 this year.

I have 275/35/18s on a 9.5" +22 wheel in the front and I had to flare the fenders, not much more room to go inside the wheel well.

hm.. so i guess 275 is the widest a tire can go on a stock 350z. wonder what fender modifications can bring with the right offset wheel.

i'm not aware what she will be driving this year, but if she is campaining a c6 z06 that is hot!
